Chapter 20

Chapter 20 Wynter POV  
  I woke up at 6:30 am for school. A Wednesday morning full of surprises. I looked over to my side and saw lamar. Sleeping peacefully as if the worlds problems disappeared from his mind. I got up and checked on Polo. I looked over the crib and saw his little face. His tiny snores filled up the silence in the room. I stuck my finger in the middle of his little palm and watch him grip my finger. I stayed there for about 5 minutes then walked into the bathroom and got dressed for school. All white nike hoodie with my denim jeans and white air forces something simple for a simple day. I looked over at the bed and noticed Lamar still there on his phone. "Get up and get dressed" i said. "Mhhhm" he grunted as he got up and headed to the bathroom. He got dressed in 10 minutes and was waiting for me at the door. "Hey beautiful" he said smiling. I felt my cheeks turn red as the words spun through my mind. "Stop it" i said pecking his lips. "Aye what do you do with Polo when we leave ?" I asked curiously. "My auntie comes over at 8:30 and stays until my brothers and momma come home, I'm usually at football practice so i don't come home until 8" he said. "Ohh ok well I'm going to tell Polo bye before we leave you can start the truck though" i said giving him the keys. I went into Polo room and kissed his forehead. "Have a good day baby" i said to him. I grabbed my stuff and headed out the door and drove off to school. "I'll se you at lunch?" Lamar asked as if we don't have 3 classes together. "Duh have a good day ok" i said giving him a kiss. We went our separate ways into our classes. I walked into me and Kanya class Mr. Lovett class. I sat down in my desk waiting for her to come through the door. "Have you heard from kanya" Jennifer asked me. "A day ago yeah" i responded. "I haven't and I'm worried Wynter she usually the first person in this class" Jennifer said starting to panic. "Relax ok at lunch we will drive over to the hotel Ight everything is going to be ok" i told her. She nodded to my response and plugged in her ear plugs. The rest of the block went by pretty fast. "You ready?" Jennifer asked me. "Yeah can you start the truck let me do some real quick" i told her. "Ight" she said taking the keys away and walking away. I ran over to Lamar class and waited for him to come out. "Hey baby" i said. "Hey wassup i was just about to come to yo truck" he said. "Yeah today we can't do lunch together i gotta uh take care of something" i told him. "Damn" He said dry. "I'll explain later i promise but i gotta go" i pecked his lips and ran to the truck. "Let's go" i told Jennifer and we took off to the hotel. We ran into the building and into the man at the front. "Whoa ladies slow down where you going?" The middle age man asked. "We are visiting a friend" Jennifer said. The man sucked his teeth and shook his head. "Sorry you can't do that" he responded. "I know you saw me i was here last week in the same room Wynter Jones i was in room 431 and i paid for her!" I yelled. "Ok ok you can go ahead here is a key" the man said giving me the key. We ran up the stair and busted into kanya room. "What the fuck!?" I screamed looking around the room. I saw pills everywhere and ashes from blunts. The hotel was dirty and smelt like alcohol. Jennifer had her hand over her mouth in disbelief. I heard a cap pop off a bottle. I ran to the restroom and saw kanya sitting at the end of the bed with 12 CCV in her hand. "What the hell kanya!? You tryna overdose !" I yelled smacking the pills outta her hand. "LEAVE ME ALONE!" She screamed in my face with tears streaming down her eyes. Jennifer then ran in with a cup of water and some fruit she set them on the counter and came over to where we were. "Kanya listen to me you can't do this to yourself i understand you sometimes don't want to be here but you will go through things that's what life is about to put you through obstacles you think are difficult but you handle them like it was nothing this is all gods test you either wanna pass or fail and right now you are failing come on now." Jennifer said to kanya. "We are here for you we will always be" i said hugging her side. "We love you" Jennifer said . "I love y'all too I'm sorry" she said still crying. "It's ok we all go through it love" i told her. We chilled for about 30 minutes we made kanya take a shower and do her hygiene while she was doing that me and Jennifer cleaned up a little bit. We were now on the bed watching "f.r.i.e.n.d.s". Our lunch period been over but we just wanted to make sure kanya was at least stable. "Thank y'all so much and I'm sorry for putting y'all through this you didn't have to do this for me " she said. "It's all good we all been there" Jennifer said sipping her juice. "Yeah don't stress it, but it's time for me and jenn to go unless you want us to stay?" I asked. "No no go I'll be alright I'm coming to school tomorrow" kanya said smiling. "Mhm alrighty" i responded unsure. Me and Jennifer said our goodbyes and we walked back to my truck. "I honestly don't even want to go back to school man" Jennifer said. "Right the day is almost over but we left our stuff over there so we kinda have to go back" i laughed. "Ugh true" Jennifer said. We drove to school and got our stuff out of our locker. "I'll see you and kanya tomorrow " i said. "Hopefully" Jennifer said. "Girl shut up" i said nudging her. "What" she said acting shocked. "Bye girl" i said hugging her. I walked over to the door and saw Lamar. "Hey baby" i said running over to him. "Wassuh" he said . He had his football bag so he was about to go to practice. "I'm about to go to practice but i liked how you dipped on me earlier" he said rolling his eyes. "It was an emergency sorry i promise I'll make it up though" i said smirking. "Yeah we'll see I'll ft you tonite Ight" he said. "Ok have a good practice stay safe" i said we kissed and went our separate ways. As i was driving home listening to "fool for you" i couldn't stop thinking about Lamar. We only known each other for 2 months and i already feel like he had been apart of my life for years. Lamar is deep in my heart man i really feel for him. My emotions were everywhere i think i actually love him... that's so weird i don't really mess with "love" like that. My heart tightens everytime i think about our memories together and i just start smiling my whole mood just changes when he comes to mind. I think i actually love Lamar...?
