I wake up in a strange place. I look around and see Maya's dirty and rugged face. memories come flooding back. I stare into her eyes. She attempts to calm me, but I suddenly jolt out of the bed I was laying in. "WHERE IS HE?!?" I ask. "Where is who?" "THE MONSTER." The monster comes out of the corner. His eye isn't glowing anymore. "The only thing monstrous about me is my appetite." Says the creature. It seems to laugh. I must be dreaming. There can't be a skeleton. Skeletons don't exist. I stare it in the eyes. "...Your appetite for human flesh.?" "I mean that probably tastes better than my brother's spaghetti, but now, I usually go to Grillby's. They have fries. Chill out, dude." My sister is still glowing green. "Brother? Another one?" Then comes a knock on the door. In a high, squeaky voice, something says "Sans!?! Let me in?!?! I think I found a human boot print! Sans??!." Quick!" says Sans "Into the closet!" Maya and I rush in. I can hear her heavy breathing. Why is he hunting for a human? She whispers in my ear. "We ended up in a place called Waterfall. Apparently only Sans knows about that hole. He goes there to look outside. These monsters have never been out. Apparently, our ancestors got paranoid and bound all of them in here forever. They all dream of seeing the sun." My mind is blown. "What? Really?" I say. She responds with "Yeah. He carried you back and gave you an ice pack and some food. He kept on mumbling about he was supposed to go talk to the woman behind the door. He kept saying she needed to hear his jokes." I was very confused. I think that brother of his doesn't want us here. We have to leave now. "We have to go," I say. "We can't hide forever." "I know." She says a bit too loud. "Sans is going to sneak us to somebody called Alphys tonight." "I'm just worried," I say. "What do Dad and Pa think?" I see gloom rush to her face. "I.. I forgot about them." "It'll be alright." I try to shush her. "Alphys will take us back." But it's too late. She's balling now. I hear Sans' brother, apparently, Papyrus, (as a picked up), say "What's all that ruckus from the closet?!" I'm terrified. "Oh, probably mice again. I'll get the coats and bring them to Alphys to clean them. "Get in the coats!" she shouts and whispers at once. Papyrus' is large, so it's not difficult to fit. He feels for the two heaviest and puts them in a wagon, which he begins to whee off. I can hear Papyrus shouting "You're leaving me alone with the mice! It's ok, no fear, I'm a soon to be royal guardsmen." And he slams the door. Sans breathes heavily. "What were you thinking?" he asks, which is hard to take seriously in his low, cartoony voice. "I.. I" and Maya just shut's her eyes and falls asleep. I soon follow. Whoever this Alphys is, they've gotta be better than Papyrus. He must be some sort of ultra-soldier. Royal guard? ouch. And then I'm fast asleep.
