I'll come back for you, sweetheart.
Rey was suddenly awaken from her dream. She was hearing that again since her force vision and it felt strange. She could only hear the voice of the man but she wasn't able to know if who that belonged to. Sighing, she looked around her dark surroundings. She could sense everyone was still sleeping from their own huts. Currently, they decided to stay in Ahch-to where she found Luke Skywalker and trained. Now that he was gone, she was only able to train herself all by her own.
Resting her head, she was about to sleep again when the pressure in her head mounted and felt some presence beside her. Her back was facing from where she senses it so she took a deep breath first before she finally turned her head towards behind her. Trying not to make any noise, she hastily jumped away from her bed with her eyes wide open, a blaster on her hand.
"You again." she spoke first with a frustration building up inside her.
It's been a while since she last saw him and that was the time she rescued the resistance with the millennium falcon. And now, here they go again, seeing each other again through the force.
"The Force was still connecting us." he stood still across from her. He was still wearing his usual attire. His eyes were as dark as his soul as he stared back onto her, emotionless. Their breathing were heavy from the tension they have as they gazed at each other.
"It wasn't Snoke." He slightly raised his chin up as he broke away from his gaze for a second.
It wasn't really Snoke who connected their minds. He was lying and the bond has still continued with him dead. It was just with them and now, they already know the truth. Yet, they wondered why would the force has to connect them.
"It's been a while, Rey." His deep voice soft, slowly stepping closer towards her then stopped.
"Why'd you kill him?" she finally manages to ask then paused. "Instead of me, what made you want to kill him?"
"I never wanted to kill him." he shook his head as he spoke.
"Then why?" she furrowed her brows in confusion. Her chin has been raising with him inching closer. There was only a small gap between them now.
"I never killed him for the power. I killed him because I have to." he paused then slowly reaches for her arm to touch it. He felt her flinched from the sudden contact he made but she remained still there.
"It was either for you and my own." And with that, their call dropped. She was left there with her thoughts and could still feel the warmth of his gloved hands touching her arm from the recent moment. She stared down on to it with her chest heaving up and down.
She sighed. Knowing that part of her was relieved to see him again.
