*BEEP*BEEP*BEEP*
The pounding of my alarm woke me from my slumber.
Sitting up straight in bed I wiped the sleep from the corners of my eyes and grabbed my phone. As the light shone brightly I quickly squinted while waiting for them to adjust to the screen.
9:23AM
Oh shit I mentally cursed.
Throwing my self out of bed, I sprinted to the bathroom grabbing my gym clothes along the way.
Once I was dressed and ready I checked my phone again.
9:46AM
I let out a breathe I didn't even realise I had been holding in and walked towards the kitchen.
"Morning" Nat said sipping her cup of coffee.
"Morning" I replied back. I walked over to the cupboard and grabbed a plastic water bottle filling it with cold water and an apple from in the fruit bowl.
"I'm going to head to work so I will see you later" I placed a quick kiss on my best friends cheek before jogging out of the house.
Everyday I run to work, it settles me and gives me a clear head in order for me to remain calm throughout the day.
I wasn't really looking where I was going and smacked into someone's chest falling onto the floor with a thud.
"Watch where your going next time!" A deep voice boomed.
"I'm sorry" I said getting up from the floor and dusting my self off.
He just looked at me coldly and then started walking away muttering loudly.
"Stupid bitch".
Once I arrived at work the time was 10:03AM. I walked through the heavy door and into the gym.
"Mollie" My boss greeted.
"Today you have a new client coming in, he isn't really the bossed around a type so maybe just let him do his thing and try not to interfere too much". In other words I had an arsehole to work with.
"Okay, no worries, what time will he be coming?" I asked.
"I have booked him in for 2:30PM" I nodded and went to the boxing ring to prepare for my first client of the day.
Todd came bouncing over to me.
"Hey sweet cheeks" He said with a wink, in response I just rolled my eyes.
"Stop playing hard to get". He whispered into my ear.
"Todd shut up and get in the ring".
After my two morning sessions I decided to go to the coffee shop across the road for my dinner break. I ordered a smoothie and sat down at a table to drink it.
My phone vibrated violently signalling that it was time to head back to work. I wasn't looking forward to my new client because he sounded like an absolute twat. 'Don't boss him around' Well if he doesn't want bossing around then why the hell has he got a trainer? Some peoples logic just baffles me. If I didn't want someone telling me what to do I would go and train independently not with someone who is paid to tell you what to do...
By the time I had finished my mental rant I was back at work.
"Hey Melissa, when my next client arrives can you please direct him to the locker room?" Melissa is the receptionist.
"Sure thing Mollie" She smiled sweetly. I can never tell whether she is genuine or fake.
I sat down on the bench in the locker room and got out the paper work I needed to go through with the new guy.
"Mollie, this is Ryan Wilson" My boss introduced. I stood up and lifted my head to meet a familiar pair of eyes. I ran over where I knew him from and anger boiled in my body, he called me a 'stupid bitch'. I pushed this out of my mind and smiled offering him my hand to shake. I could tell by the look on his face that he couldn't put his finger on where he knew me from.
"Your in great hands, so I'm going to leave the two of you to it" My boss said as he left the two of us in the locker room.
"I didn't quiet catch your name" He said rudely while looking at me intently.
"Oh right yes, I'm stupid bitch" Okay so maybe now I was being a bitch but he acted like a dick, its not like I didn't apologise for bumping into him.
"Excuse me?" Seeing him so puzzled made me feel quite smug.
"Don't look at me like that, there your words not mine" I cant believe I'm being so immature right now.
He stood confused for a few seconds until he realised what I was talking about.
"Well what kind of idiot runs down the street looking at there fucking feet?" He argued while waving his arms around to add emphasis.
"Me apparently" I mumbled quietly more to myself than to him.
"Right well we may as well get straight to training, these need filling in" I said pushing the papers in to his chest.
I told him what I think he needed to work on, obviously he ignored me and did what he wanted to do. I recommended that he works on his blocking techniques for when he is in the ring but he just ignored every comment I made.
"Come on that was the most pathetic punch I have ever seen thrown in all of my 7 years working here!" I yelled jumping into the ring causing Ryan to roll his eyes.
"You need to stand up tall and straight, tense your self up, get onto the balls of your feet, do a little jump from foot to foot, put your fists up in front of your face and do a few ducks as if punches are being thrown your way and then swing and jab" I said while doing the exact actions that I was talking him through.
He looked shocked by how much knowledge of the ring I had.
"Shouldn't you be plaiting someone's hair and painting there nails?" He said doing his own thing again.
"Ok, I am sick of your attitude now! You came here, I didn't come to you. I suggest you start listening because I know what I'm talking about, I wouldn't be here if I didn't!" I snapped, he had been getting on my nerves all session and I had finally reached my breaking point.
"I came here thinking I would get an experienced male trainer" He fired back.
"1. I am experienced and 2. What is wrong with me being female?" I was getting really angry now and knew I needed to calm down.
"Girls aren't made for the ring" He simply shrugged.
Something just came over me and I found some hidden confidence. Before I even knew what was happening my fist went flying into the side of his face, I didn't regret it though. He stood in front of me holding his jaw in pain.
"Sexist pig" I scoffed before walking off to go home.
