Song: Show me by Marc E. Bassy feat. G-Eazy

Practice was done for today, it's already 10, which is average time that I get home at. I dropped my bag in my bedroom and saw Kiko sitting on my bed, she was a British Shorthair cat with a coat white as snow that made her ocean blue eyes pop. She watched me with caution as I got a change of clothes to sleep in, just shorts and a white shirt will do.

After my shower I stared at myself in the square mirror, I don't look like my siblings, Zoe, Abby and Olivia, they had my dad's feature, light brown hair, Abby having forest green eyes, while Zoe and Olivia had mom's sapphire blue eyes.

As for me, I had my grandmothers hair, strawberry red hair that was a little too long for my liking and the only feature I had from my parents was my eyes, ocean blue with a hint of  mint green in them, I was the odd child, but easy to spot when I needed to be found. I sighed and went to my bed and flopped down on the soft duvet, while Kiko got a little mad for disturbing her position. Well sorry, but my comfort is more important, especially if you're out all day and actually awake.

There should be an easier way to wake up then an alarm blaring in your face, as much as I would like to destroy my alarm, kinda need my phone too. I washed up and changed into a simple midnight black dress shirt, rolling the cuffs up and putting on dark blue, washed out jeans and slipping on my grey converse that had small holes on the side. Styling my wet hair into spikes and then flopping it to the right side, I was out the door and off to Victorian Hospital.

"Hi Sammy, how are you today?" I greeted my regular patient, sadly she has cancer and cannot leave the hospital forever, praying she can at least go outside and smell the ocean air off the West coast with spring flowers blooming from the dreaded rain season.

"I'm good, now that you're here Zane!" She exclaimed, always happy to see me every morning, and calling me Zane, which I didn't like, but I let it slide since she's 7 years old, "you here for our regular check up?" She added.

"That and for me to give you this," I said holding a brownie I made, "I'll give it to you after your medication ok?" I asked sternly.

"Ok!" How do kids have this much energy? Especially if you are stuck in a hospital, but if I make her happy then I'm happy.

Something was off with her body, so I took her to get her body scanned and see what was up. As I was taking her down the hall, my boss, Dr. Smith, came up to me "where are you going Dr. Bradley?" I didn't want to say, especially in front of Sammy, so I handed him Sammy's files and saw his milk chocolate brown eyes widen a bit, he nodded and handed them back to me and brushing his rough hand on my hand and tapping my knuckles twice, telling me he was sending Jane to help me. I nodded and continued going to the scan room.

"Your doing so well Sammy," I said in comfort, Jane came in and saw the files on the table, immediately snatching them.

"Woah, are you sure about this?" Jane questioned, turning her attention to Sammy. I hummed back and saw the scan come up on the screen. Fear and excitement buzzed in my head seeing what showed up.

"You should show Glenn this, he is our boss and has worked here for a long time, get his opinion on this and what to do" Jane said, already printing them off.

"Can you take Sammy back while I show Dr. Smith this?" I questioned, turning towards the printer.

"Ya, why don't you call him Glenn? He gave us permission to call him by his first name when were around him."

"It's not professional," I shrugged.

"You're so boring, and way to professional, we should go out drinking one night. Anyways I'll take her back," Jane replied simply.

I stared at the scans over and over before leaving the room to find Glenn and tell him the good news of Sammy.
