Chapter Fifteen (part 1)

Hey guys Im back! Today was my last day of school so you know what that means????MORE UPDATES kinda... This is only part one because I have to go to dinner but i felt bad about how long it's been since my last real update. So enjoy part one and two will be up later!

Chapter 15

I woke in my bed with the sunlight streaming in through the large window facing the bed. I sat up remembering last night’s dramatic happenings… I couldn’t help but cringe at the thought of having to leave this place and go back. I mean I almost have my Spanish down, though I read at like a first grade level. So that means I can’t read “big words”. I’m pretty sure my niece reads better than I do. Once I was out of bed I headed down stairs to make breakfast. Since todays Sunday we all have the day off, so that means lots of relaxing with the family. This afternoon Miriam and I are going shopping, because I need to catch her up on the latest news of my ever-changing life. After making pancakes and cutting up some fruit, Sergio and Pilar sauntered into the kitchen.

            “Whatcha doing Isa?”

Pilar said stroking her ever growing belly, I giggled yet couldn’t help but wonder when the baby was going to be born.

“I made breakfast for you guys, because you two always make it for so I thought I’d return the favor!”

I said smiling and gesturing towards everything I had made. We stuffed our faces with as much food as we could eat. I looked at the clock and I saw it was already 11. I jumped up and ran up stairs to get ready because Miriam was picking me up at 11:15… oops. I could hear Pilar and Sergio laughing at my sudden rush. I ran into my closet and picked out the first outfit that caught me eye and threw it on as fast as I could. I sprinted to the bathroom to do my makeup. After putting some concealer and mascara on I thought about what to do with my mane of hair.

            “Oh no time…”

I mumbled while putting it into a bun a top my head. Walking out of the bathroom I heard the door opening to let Miriam in and I couldn’t help but feel kind of proud. Trotting down the stairs I ran up to Miriam and she gave me a proper Ramos bear hug. Yes, that is a thing. After saying our goodbyes we sped off to the stores.
