Nate! Wake up, you’re going to be late” a voice come from down the stairs. Nate wakes up and puts on anything he could fine. Sprayed some deodorant and brushes he teeth. As he runs out the door he forgets his homework. The only thing on his mind was a girl in his math class.

As he catches the bus his friend pulls him down to a seat. “Hey lover boy anything besides Corinne on your mind” said Chad. Nate just smiles. Their next stop is when Corinne gets on. Nate makes himself presentable. “Chill dude, it’s not like you’re going to ask her out. Are you?” said Chad. “No, I don’t have the guts to.” He replies. The doors open. Everyone stops talking as Corinne walks in.

She’s a tall brunet with amber eyes that shine. She always has a smile on her face. She walks toward the end of the bus. Chad pushes Nate. “Are you ok?” she asked. Nate just stared. She helped him up. ”thanks” he said. She smiles “you’re welcome”. She takes her seat next her friend Stella. The bus got loud again.

The school bell rang and everyone rushed to class. As the morning announcements were said, 3 kids were asked to come to the principal’s office. Nate was one of them. Everyone just looked at him. The next was Corinne. They guys in the class were drooling while the girls were smiling. Last but not least, Nick. He was the school jock. Everyone loved him like everyone loves Corinne.

As they arrive, Corinne is in there first, then Nick, then Nate. “I have gathered you all here today because of the awards you have won. Corinne, you got an award for being in 1st place for your creative writing story. Nick, for MVP of the football team. Nate, you have the highest average, it’s incredible to have the highest grade out of any school’s history.” Said the principle. She hands them their awards. “Corinne and Nate please stay. Nick you can go.” Nick walks away.

Nate started to get red. “Hi, I was wondering how you are. You know because of your fall on the bus.” Corinne said worried. “Oh I’m fine. My friend pushed me off.” He replied. Corinne smiled.

The lunch bell rang. Nate was walking with Chad when someone comes up behind him and throws him over his shoulder. “So what would today’s special be? Wet wily or the toilet?” “Well hello to you to Nick.” Nate replies. “Hey! Nick! Put him down.” A voice came behind. Nate looks up, he sees Corinne. He smiles. Nicks turns around. “Put him down or forget about me” she said. Nate’s smile came to a frown. Nick put him down then walks away with Corinne.

When the release bell rang Nate ran out of the classroom and bumped into Corinne. Her books fell. “I’m so sorry Corinne!” Nate says immediately. “It’s Ok Nate. I should have watched where I was going. It’s not your fault.” She replied. He helped her pick up her things. He looks up at her and she looks up at him. It was just silence for a few moments. They stand up still eye to eye. “Wow you have pretty eyes” he said. She blushes. “Thanks” she replies. “Your eyes are really nice too. I love blue eyes.” “I guess I’ll be on my way. See you around.” He replies. “Wait! I’m going to the movies later with a few people. Want to come?” she begs. “I’ll see you tonight.” And he leaves.

He runs home. Walks in like nothing happened. “Nate I need you to watch your brother tonight. Mike and I will be going out.”Said his mother. Mike is his mom’s boyfriend. “Why does it have to be tonight? Why not tomorrow? What am I suppose to do, not act like I made plans too?” he replies. He just walks into the bathroom and let the hot water fill the room with steam.

Nate watches his parents leave with his little brother Malcolm by his side. As they turn the corner, he tells Malcolm to get his shoes on and follow him. He texts Chad to meet him at the movies in 10 minutes. On the other hand Corinne gets her sister Trish ready to leave with her. They walk out the door and leave. She texts Stella to meet her there in 10 minutes.

Nate arrives first and sees Nick. He knew he would be here. “We’ll look who we have here. Didn’t expect you to be here.” Nick told Nate. Corinne arrives and sees what is happing. “Nick! Leave him alone. What did he ever do to you?” she said. He didn’t reply. “I’ll get the tickets.” said Stella. Corinne goes next to Nate to protect him.

“This is my sister Trish. She a year younger than us.” Corinne said. Nate’s Brother Malcolm runs in front her and says “hi, I’m Malcolm. Sit next to me in the theater.” He demanded. ”sure” she replied. “That’s my brother over there with your sister.” He points. Corinne smiles. Nick is getting angry that Corinne is hanging around Nate and not him. As they enter the theater, Nick grabs Corinne toward him and pulls her over to the two seats only. Nate scratches his head and finds a seat next to Chad.

As the coming attractions begins, Nate looks back. He sees his brother flirting with Trish. He crosses his arms and grunts. He looks to the side and sees Nick and Corinne. She has a big smile on her face and holds Nick’s hand. As he turns to talk to Chad, he pauses. He sees Stella playing with Chad’s hair and is flirting with him. Now Nate is even more upset. Was he the only one without a person in his life to love? He looks around the whole theater. He was the only one without someone by his side.

As the movie started, he looked over by Corinne again. Instead of her looking over, it was Nick. He looked angry. Nate looked away quickly and sighed. As he was watching the movie, he noticed a familiar face. He nudged Chad and said “didn’t that kid go to our school?” Chad just nodded. Nate just shrugged his shoulders. Then he got up to get popcorn. As he walked by Nick and Corinne, Nick followed him.

When they returned Nate ran to his seat. Chad took a hand full of popcorn and shoved it in his face. Stella took some too. Nate looked back at this brother and Trish. Of course they are making out in the last row. He turns around and throws some popcorn in his mouth. Corinne eats some of Nick’s popcorn. Nick eats some of it too. Five minutes later. They all blink at the same time. What they see is not a movie screen, it’s an old abandoned movie theater.

Corinne was confused. Nick was acting all cool but his facial expression showed he was scared. Chad, he was calm and kept saying “it’s not real, were just dreaming.”Stella held onto Chad. Nate was amazed. He was thinking how this was possible to be in one place then the other. The only thing on Corinne’s mind, are we alone?
