Arrival

Ed's POV

We have about two more hours until we arrive at our destination, I yawn softly while staring out the window.

Al catches my attention, "Brother, you should get some rest".

I smile back at him, "Okay, I will, wake me when we're close," and with that I leaned more into the window and closed my eyes.

-Dream-

I'm walking through a dark hallway making sure to be very suspicious of my surroundings, "Hello? Anyone there?" I continue walking. I see in the distance smoke surrounding a transmutation circle that looks all too familiar.. My heart sinks, I run to the scene and see Al, "Alphonse!"

I notice Al look at me, my eyes grow wide, his eyes are full of hatred.

I whisper, "Al.. wh-" before I can finish my sentence, he cuts me off.

Al starts yelling, "I HATE YOU WITH EVERY FIBER IN MY BODY, OR SHOULD I SAY MY METAL! I DON'T HAVE A BODY AND IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!"

I feel tears start to well up in my eyes, "Al, I'm so sorry.." I freeze when I start hearing a third voice. It's my moms.

I look towards the center of the transmutation circle and see my mom, tears fall and run to her. "Mom!"

I can feel her warm arms embrace me, I look up at her crying.

My mom is smiling softly at me for a few moments, "You're my little man Ed, but why couldn't you save me."

I frown and sniffle, "M-mom?"

All of a sudden, she turns into that "thing", she grips me arms so tight I cry out. "You couldn't save me or your brother! WHY!"

I start to panic, "No no no no, mom..al.. I'm so sorry, I'm sorry..."

I can hear a distance voice, "Brother! Wake up! Are you alright?? Brother!"

Al's POV

I'm watching my brother sleep against the window, I can't help but think what that must be like.. I glance out the window and see Kanama, our destination, coming up.

I look back at Ed and see he is in a cold sweat and shaking, He's mumbling.

"Brother?" I ask gently the first time. At this point, Ed is visible shaking more and mumbling he's sorry to mom.. and me??

I immediately grab his shoulders, "Brother! Wake up! Are you alright?? Brother!"
