Time-Turners - The First Epic Adventure

Chapter 1

Corinne POV

I was standing before my father, my twin brother Logan by my side. Dad had a look of fear on his face as the ground beneath him started to crack. It gave in, causing Dad to plunge into the darkness beneath us. That's all I remembered before the alarm went off.

At breakfast, I told Logan about my dream. "I had the same dream," He said. "Well, we're twins. That's normal," I said, "But what do you think it means? Our dreams always come true. We dreamed I would get first place in the talent show, and I did. We also dreamed you would win first place in the art show, and you did. Does this mean Dad is gonna die?" "I don't know, It's a scary thought," Logan said.

"Hey guys," Mom said, she had been quietly listening to the conversation up to this point, "There's something you need to know. Your father is a time traveler." Me and Logan began to laugh. "Seriously, Mom, you expect us to believe Dad can time travel? That's impossible. He's just a normal historian." Logan said.

"It's true," Said Mom. She walked over to the counter and pulled a pocket watch out of a drawer. "I used to be one, too. But I stopped when I learned the dangers. Of course, that didn't stop your father. Have you ever wondered why your dreams always come true? Since your Dad travels so much, your dreams are visions of the future, and sometimes, the past." "That's still crazy, Mom," I said. "If you're having dreams about your father dying," Mom continued, ignoring my comment, "Something has to be wrong. Your father is lost in time, and you guys have to save him. Use this pocket watch to go to his last known destination. North Africa, Jurassic Period."

"Ugh, if it makes you happy, Mom, we'll 'Travel through time and save Dad'," Logan said. "I'm being serious, you too," Mom said, handing me the pocket watch, "You guys both touch it and say 'North Africa, Jurassic Period'. Good luck, I love you both." "Okay, love you too," I said, "Let's do it, Logan," "Okay," Said Logan, touching the watch. "North Africa, Jurassic Period." We said in unison.

Suddenly, everything around us went white.
