The girl left, and it was just you and I. You picked me up and we left. We walked until we stood in front of a elevator, you hit the down button and we waited to hear the ding.
When the doors opened, a elderly couple stepped out and we stepped in. I sliently hoped that they would notice me. Notice anything unusual. However they didn't.
When we stepped in, you hit the button with the letter B on it. I figured it stood for basement. The elevator music made me hum but one glance from you made me stop abruptly.
When the doors finally opened, the basement was full of people. We stepped out and I got a look at everything. There was a poker table, people smoking cigars, men cheering Hooray! when winning and young women standing beside them, each had a hand or hands placed on the men's shoulder.
A cocky man dressed in a black tuxedo had approached us. "This her?" He asked in a raspy voice. You nodded and he smirked at me, glancing at me up and down. I gritted my teeth and narrowed my eyes at him. "Fiesty, I like her already. Right this way." He led us away from the crowd and into some rooms in the back, hidden away by a large black curtain.
*In French*
"nous avons beaucoup de clients" (we have many clients)
"combien?"(how many)
"950"
"très bien"(very well)I was a little giddy I was paying attention during Mr.A's end of the year French Classes. I thought to myself what kind of clients do they mean? I swallowed a invisible lump, when you motioned for me to come forward which I did.
You told the cocky man, "20 Minutes Tops, No Longer! Got It?" The man scowled and nodded.
I followed the man down a narrow hallway. The walls were lined with paintings of outside. Big, white clouds. Bright, Colorful flowers.
I was amazed such colorful art existed in such a place that seemed so dark. I snapped out of my daze when we arrived in front of a brown door.
The man who led me down the hallway, knocked on the door and a middle aged man in a white robe came to the door.
He had slick black hair, a broad nose and red lips which he licked as he looked me up and down.
"Boss said no more than 20 minutes" and with that, the man walked away. I silently begged for him not to go, I wished the hallway was longer and I prayed that I would soon see my loved ones.
The man at the door ushered me inside quickly and closed the brown door behind him, which closed with a loud click.
I stood near the door. My heart was pounding, and I tried not to let tears fall down my cheeks. I took a deep breath and tried desperately to stay calm, considering the circumstances.
The man in the robe, went into the bathroom and within a few seconds came out with a syringe between his fingers. My eyes widen at the long point.
I opened my mouth to scream, but no sound arose. I tried to turn and try the door handle but my feet seemed glued to the carpet.
"Trust Me" He said. "I Want You Awake As Possible. But Whatever The Boss Man Says Goes."
As he walked near me, my mind was telling me to escape but my body didn't seem to comprehend. He stuck me in my arm as I whined in pain.
I started to feel dizzy, my eyelids felt heavy and my body seemed to give out.
