What if they fell in love with an elf?

Requested by PinguDubbleW; What if they fell in love with an elf? With Thorin, Fili, Kili and Dwalin.

I have done some small stories so far but for this one I am going to do the explaining thing because I think it works better here :)

Thorin: I think that Thorin would glare at the elf for the first couple of months of their journey. He would think that it was simply staring, but if looks could kill... He would mainly do this because he wants to know how the elf works.

Can he trust them? How does the elf interact with his company? What can he expect from them?

When he has finally made up his mind he may act on his feelings. It all depends on whether the elf is his One or not. And most importantly, if Thorin will allow himself to fall that deeply in love. Maybe he will try to guard himself and the elf from his feelings.

Fili: I believe Fili wouldn't immediately act on his feelings, just like Thorin. Mainly because he has been raised by Thorin so he was his main example of a male, adult dwarf.  He is also trained by Thorin to be his successor. And I think that Thorin and other dwarves didn't hold back on their opinions of elves.

I do also think, however, that Fili could change his opinion. He is still young so when they visit Rivendell he may open himself up to a positive experience. But, on the other hand, there are the other dwarves to whom he still looks up.

So just out of pure principle I don't think he would immediately act on his feelings towards an elf. This may be different if the elf is his One though.

Kili: Being the youngest of Thorin' nephews he didn't have the same training Fili did. So his upbringing was a little less strict. We can see this in the movies where he acts more his age than his brother does.

So even if it wasn't Tauriel, he isn't shy about voicing his opinions about elves. He likes looking at them. Maybe he even sees an adventure in their height difference.

Kili would definitely act on his feelings. He is passionate and has a lot of love to give. Unlike the others he would simply follow his heart because he doesn't really care for the 'rules' or what is deemed 'proper' in the eyes of others.

Dwalin: Dwalin would look for a good humping buddy in almost any race. Maybe he wouldn't immediately have feelings for the elf but I think he wouldn't mind going to bed with one.

Even if it is just to brag around the campfire about shagging an elf. Mostly because of the height difference and him 'showing them how good a dwarf is in the sack'. Once you go dwarf, you never go back.

When he falls in love I think he would tell the elf on the down low. He wouldn't want anyone to find out before he knows that they love him back. Then he would boast it all over town, telling everyone who listens that he got an elf to fall for him.
