Just walking by today
I saw that old lady, I saw how people looked at her
I saw how her eyes were down on the road
She shouldn't have wore jeans when she's so oldJust walking by today
I saw that girl in her scarf
And odd stares at her
I saw how restless she was
She shouldn't have been born in this religionJust walking by today
I saw someone cry
A small teenage girl
And her abusive so called boyfriend
I saw how he pushed her
And how curses slammed on himI also saw how she punched him
I also saw how she was the badass and the boy weakI also heard how the boy was the one
The one who was the victim hereI also saw today
As I walked by
how the lady didn't care
Swaying her hips she flaunted
How the girl raised her head high
Two tugs upward on her lips
As she walked down the lane with a pride filled chest
I also saw those small amount of people
Who raised their voice for the boy
Saving him from evilI aslo learnt that even If I wasn't perfect
There was a good thing in my every flawAnd how everyone can love themselves
- Keep smiling
