Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales is happy to announce to the public her budding relationship with musician Harry Styles.
The pair met through mutual friends at the beginning of June and have been quietly courting since. Though the couple wished to enjoy privacy as they continued to get to know each other, they have unfortunately been forced by prying photographers.
Her Royal Highness and Mr. Styles ask to be treated with respect and a modicum of privacy as they continue to explore this new relationship.

Well, it's official, folks. Straight from the horse's mouth, the problematic Princess Bernie and tweenage heartthrob Harry Styles are dating. Not only was an official announcement released from Kensington Palace early this morning, but PEOPLE—the chosen mouthpiece of Team Styles—confirmed the news with an online article.
News of this relationship hardly surprises anyone, not after that steamy picture surfaced last week. What is surprising is that both camps claim the relationship began in early June, rather than the night before the pair's romp on the balcony. A quick glance at dedicated fan update accounts shows that Styles was wrapping up his world tour in Kuala Lumpur, while the princess was neck deep in exams in Vancouver. The first sighting of the two was just a week ago when our sources say they locked eyes at the Beyonce concert in L.A. and were quick to leave hand-in-hand from the afterparty. If that's not suspicious enough, the Palace announcement claims the two met through mutual friends... but what mutual friends could a popstar have with a princess? Surely Grimmy hasn't got any royal connections or we'd have heard about it by now.
But that's just the cynic in me talking—perhaps the pair has been romancing for the last month and weren't caught in a one night stand. While the nature of the relationship is utterly curious, even more curious is the dynamic. Never before has a royal on this island dated someone as equally well known and, well, bloody famous. The only comparable relationship is that of the Prince of Monaco and Grace Kelly. The Princess of Monaco's acting career famously ended once she took her title. Even King James's first wife, Lady Guinevere, gave up a lucrative career as a fashion designer to assume a silent role next to the king, which is widely speculated as the reason she left him. And don't forget when Princess Bernie's late father, Prince Peter, scooped up the then-model Michelle Prescott from Karl Lagerfeld's clutches during Paris fashion week then proposed to her at the top of the Eiffel Tower three days later. The Duchess never stormed the runway or donned haute couture again.
Which begs the question...will Styles be forced to give up his music and acting career? Will he willingly play second fiddle to the next sovereign? One could argue that, because Styles is a man, he won't be expected to forego working to live the life of a philanthropist, and instead only be asked to take a more behind-the-scenes role in his chosen industries. But if there's one thing we know about Princess Bernie it's her belief in equality amongst the sexes as the feminist slogans on her t-shirts and ball caps loudly—and obnoxiously—proclaim. And it's not like monarchy has ever been sexist before.
