Love will Pearce Through the Veil of Death

The flame of love just got its spark.

Roy's POV

It's just Ed and I in the room, I've been applying cool wet rags to his forehead, once they grow cold and dry I take it off and resoak them and apply them again, Ed still hasn't woken up but he keeps mumbling in his sleep, I think I love him..what, stop you're just taking care of a sock person that's all. That's all. That's not all..I have feelings for Ed, and seeing him in this condition is just heartbreaking.

I gently push hair out of his face and cup his cheek with one hand, "you're strong Ed, and I'm here too, you're safe just get better will you.."

Ed starts to stir, I hope I didn't wake him, but it would be nice to see him conscious for once.

Ed's POV
I'm all sweaty again, my eyes flutter open and I feel a wet cloth on my forehead, it feels nice, my hair is down too, I look over at whose at my bed side and see it's Roy, I got red, "oh..it's you"

Roy grins, "morning Fullmetal, get a good rest in?"

I blush even darker, that grin was just wow, "um..I..uh..I'm still tired.."he has me so flustered I don't know what to say.
I think he sees my blush and that's why he's grinning, damn bastard making fun of me.

Roy smiles softly at me, "then get your rest Ed, you're sick and hurt, I'll be right here when you wake up."

I bite my lip tearing up a little, "you promise..I don't deserve this..I should just be where you found me.."

Roy looks almost in shock when I said that, "don't you ever say something like that again Ed, what would Al do without you..your teacher..or even me Ed, what would I have done if you died?"

I look at the ceiling, I grab his hand weakly, a tear slips down my cheek, "I'm sorry.."
