I walk down the hall of a normal highschool but I, I'm also normal but I get judged by what I wear on my head; my hijab. I take a deep breath trying not to be seen or heard, trying to blend in. Scenes are created in my head of people pulling my hijab..... I shake my head trying shake off those horrible scenarios. You can get through the first day of school without being noticed. I encourage myself.
"Hey it's the scarf girl" , a boy with blonde hair and blue squinted eyes, that was accompanied by his girlfriend said. Great,they even have a nickname for me.
I speed walk trying to get out the situation. I just jinxed myself. And everyone's eyes found me.
