Humans scurried as another layer of debris eroded beneath their feet.

I grinned. A little more destruction and my job would be done.

I raised my arms towards the sky, my palms hard as rock against the ball of wind I had created.

The children's shrieks tugged my heart, my human side pitying their teary eyes.

One glance at the sun resulted in wrinkles on my forehead. I scowled at the sunlight, the ball of wind diminished in my hot palms.

"This is all your fault!" I screamed, wishing the controller of the sun would hear me. He better hear me.

Dejected, I stared at the havoc I had caused: fallen trees, broken branches... dusty air.

The loneliness, which always replaced destruction, was the same I had faced since a century. I had not gotten used to it and I never would.

Hours passed as I stood rooted on the same spot. The sun was gone, his lover, the moon had parted ways with him at dusk.

I knew they weren't together now but I needed them to be.

The moonlight soothed everyone, except me. Perhaps my heart refused to receive its silver rays.

Tears trickled down my cheeks and I wiped them, astonished.

I had never let my mother's humanity take over the powers I had inherited from my father.

But today was different; today was the day my parents had been killed by the very Titans, whom we considered our family.

A hundred years had done nothing to heal my loss. My parents were punished for giving birth to a demigod: to me.

Was love so wrong? Was killing a person for loving another so wrong?

The tears dried but my heart had cried every single day.

"You have changed."

Startled, I spun around, noticing a woman as dark as the night floating in air.

Her eyes, sparkling like silver, glowed even more when she alighted gracefully.

"I am so disappointed in you, Zena." She sighed. The crescent shaped scar in between her eyebrows emitted a bright light, the moon beaming in all its intensity side-by-side.

Hundred years of destruction had finally claimed her attention.

"It was your tears that made me come here," she said.

How could I forget? Being a Moon Goddess, Vinci Luna had many gifts.

"I need you to avenge my parents' death," I said without any delay.

"She cannot. She is not that powerful." Nebil Apollo alighted on my left, a smirk playing on his small lips.

Only the Sun God could rile Vinci up. The silver in the Goddess' eyes hardened like steel.

Great! Making them work together was going to be harder than I thought.

The gold in his eyes sparkled with amusement, while the silver in hers was deadly.

"There is no time. You have to kill those damned Titans before sunrise." They glanced at me with their arms crossed.

"It has been a hundred years, Zena." Nebil sighed, his hand grasping my pale one. "Let it go."

I clenched my teeth and the urge to swat his arm grew stronger, however, I could only remove my hand out of his.

"Loneliness has hardened her heart. She won't rest until she gets revenge." Vinci pursed her ruby lips and peeked a look at Nebil.

Her white curls shook in denial and my hope dwindled. "I am sorry, Zena. I can't help you. Controlling the moonlight is in my hands, defeating the Titans is not."

"Told you so." Nebil grinned. "I can burn them if you want."

"You can only burn the sun." Vinci scoffed.

"Don't forget, my light is what helps your moon glow."

Vinci stepped closer to Nebil. "I wouldn't be so cocky, Neb."

Nebil's lips tugged upwards in a smile. "What can I say? I am powerful."

I rolled my eyes when they gazed at each other. "Kiss or don't kiss. Time is running out."

"You have plenty of time for love later on."

"I don't love him."

"I don't love her."

"They all say that." A hundred years had passed but I was happy that their love was still the same.

They had argued over me. After my parents' death, Vinci wanted me to stay in the sky, while Nebil wanted me to be on Earth.

There was no conclusion, except for one, where they decided to split.

And now, I wanted them to be together.

"Will you help me or not?" I couldn't help the irritation seeping into my voice.

Nebil covered Vinci as he stepped ahead, his arms crossed. "A war is risky, Zena. We don't even know if our powers--"

I didn't let him complete what he had to say. A ball of wind hit his bronze chest and he staggered backward momentarily.

That was enough for flaring up Vinci's temper.

A sphere of moonlight hit my abdomen and I groaned. My body crashed with the soil and I chuckled.

Dusting my palms, I stood up, swallowing back a snicker. "Vinci Luna, you love him."

"And so does he," I added.

Nebil glanced sideways, struggling to hide the smile on his face.

"What do you want?" Exasperation filled Vinci's voice.

"Revenge."

"Why us? Do you think we will succeed?" Nebil asked, drawing a step closer to Vinci.

"You will make a great team. Your combined powers will defeat them."

Vinci frowned. "How?"

I smiled. "Ponder over your names. Vinci and Nebil, together you both are invincible."
