Monsters Under My Bed

Stranded and afraid

Where I am I could not say. How I got here I wish I could tell you. But what I do know is that strange things have been happening on this island.

We have named it hell. We decided not to capitalize it, because we figured that something this horrible doesn't deserve to be "proper". And by we I mean the people that are in the same predicament as I. We were all having a perfectly fine day then poof. Here we all are. We have no idea where we are or what ocean is surrounding us for as far as the eye can see. For all we know we could be on a different planet, in a different galaxy, in a different universe. There is no form of civilization here what so ever. But the 8 of us have managed the past few days. We made shelter. And have an efficient source of food. We have only but the clothes on our back and whatever we had in our hands at the time. Our ages vary between 14 -16 and there are 4 guys and 4 girls. Luckily enough two of us were cooking at the time and had knives in their hands. We had a pretty normal day, wake-up, gather food, eat food, gather food, work on shelter, explore parts of the island, gather food, eat food, sleep. So I lay here on my hard, branch bed trying to think of better times. Mostly of when I was younger. One thing I remeber is that up until I was 7 I would always ask my mother to check under my bed for monsters. The past 8 years I had gotton over it knowing that monsters aren't real. But from time to time I used to wonder, what if monsters were real? And ever since I got here; to hell. I have proven my self right that monsters do exist. And that there is the possibility that there is one or a hundred underneath me right now.
