Chapter 1
Casey
I crouched in the dark cave, waiting for the Shadow to return to it's home base.Suddenly, a searing pain shot through my head. "No, not now!" I thought. A blurry vision appeared. One guy entering the cave, followed by me shortly after. Then came two other guys. I saw the Shadow come in and kill the guys. Then the vision stopped. I massaged my temples. Then I heard footsteps. I slowly crept towards the noise. I slowly turned a corner and saw the two guys from my vision. I pulled my dagger out of my boot and jumped the tall guy. The other one whipped around at his strangled scream. The guy held his hand out, where a small ball of fire formed. He whipped it at me, but I easily dodged. I swiftly kicked him in the groin, sending him down to the ground. I placed my boot on his neck and began pushing down. "Who are you and why are you here?" The guy under my boot groaned. "I am Allen and this-" I stomped down on his neck. His eyes bulged out of his head. "Lie." I said. "Alright!" The guy said. "I'm Skye, the guy you have under the knife over there is Griffin. We have another guy deeper into the cave, his name is Phoenix. " I nodded, he was telling the truth. "Why are you here?" I asked. The guy sighed. "We have these-uh-powers. We can control the elements and communicate with our minds and stuff. There are these things called Shadows, they find us and suck out our powers. We hunt them." I widened my eyes. "What?" The guy said. "Funny, me too."
