Remember Me

Chapter One

Chanyeol sat in the window sill,  his lips pursed into a straight line. Thoughts were racing as he watched rain drip from grey clouds.

"What am I going to do with you Baekhyun. " he whispered softly as he reached for his cup of hot chocolate. Placing the cup to his soft lips,  he closed his eyes and took a drink of the hot liquid humming softy as he stood and walked to his desk looking down at Baekhyun's medical bills and results "I need you to come home... Come back to me... --"he cut  off as a loud rumble of thunder echoed outside piercing the noise barrier inside. "... Remember me baby. "

He took a seat picking up the picture of him and Baekhyun,  tears beginning to form as he laid eyes on the small child in Baekhyun's arms. It was their adopted son,  Baekah.  The only child they were able to afford to adopt at the time,  but all of it was ruined the day of the car accident. Everything Chanyeol loved was now lost. Their son died on impact and Baekhyun lost every memory of Chanyeol,  their son and all of the past.

He sat solemnly in his chair,  placing the picture down and looked back out the window before standing once more grabbing his coat and keys. "I have to see him again" he whispered softly making his way to the front door,  turning the knob and walking out.

Walking through the rain,  Chanyeol looked up and smiled " I shall bring him home son" he spoke softly as he stepped into his car,  buckling up and pulling out of his drive way.

As he passes buildings,  rain still drenching everything in sight,  Chanyeol called Baekhyun's phone or what was his phone.

"This is Baekhyunnie,  if I'm not able to take your call I am more than likely in the arms of Chanyeol holding our son. I will reach you when I can. If this is you Chanyeol,  I love you and await for you to come home. "

hanyeol felt his heart drop hearing his beloved's voice and a baby crying in the background. Once he stopped at a red light he laid his head on the steering wheel sobbing loudly. "It's my fault... It's all my fault" he choked up on his words and tears but was soon brought back to his senses by a car horn. The light was green meaning he could drive up the road to the café. The same one where Baekhyun and he first met,  the one where Baekhyun currently worked and had worked since college.

Once arriving at the small building Chanyeol got out walking to the door,  a glimmer of happiness spread on his face when he saw Baekhyun. It soon however turned to heartbreak knowing he would not hear the usual 'Babe why are you here,  this is embarrassing ' slip from Baekhyun's soft lips. Once inside he made his way to the same table he proposed at,  the memories stinging knowing it would be forever until that day would return to Baekhyun's memory.

"Ah Chanyeol-ah~" Baekhyun's honey voice pierced the taller male's hearing. "Ah yes" he looked up,  his eyes meeting the other's  making his heart race faster. "What can I get you?" Baekhyun asked softly as he held  up the notepad. Chanyeol just stared at him causing Baekhyun to blush  "I'll  have a Latte " he answered quickly looking away. Baekhyun nodded and smiled as he jotted down the order before walking away.

Chanyeol looked down,  he wanted to kiss Baekhyun but he couldn't,  though the entire café knew of what happen and try to help Chanyeol by making Baekhyun wait on his table every time. "No luck yet aye Yeol" a deep voice broke the sadden silence.  " No not yet,  Sehun" he looked up seeing the younger male and smiled sadly. Sehun is one of Chanyeol's dearest friends and happen to be his adopted brother. He was the second person on scene of the accident and since them was always around for Chanyeol. Soon another figure came by Sehun's side hugging him "Hey Yeollie " the soft voice escaped the male's voice "Hey Luhan" he greeted motioning them to sit down.

They were conversing knowingly being watched by Baekhyun. Yes Baekhyun lost his memory of Chanyeol and their son as well as their love life,  but something about Chanyeol drew him closer. It was as if he knew him but didn't know him. "Baekhyun!" a loud obnoxious voice filled the male's ears "Yes Jongdae?" he turned around seeing the male. His eyes widen as he saw the bruised eye and busted lip" Oh my god Jongdae what the hell happen!? Did Minseok get drunk again!!" he almost screamed as he placed his gentle hands on the other's  face examined him. Jongdae was Baekhyun's roommate and cousin. He was currently in an abusive relationship with Kim Minseok, a boy they both went to college with. "N-no... Ok yes he did. He didn't mean to hurt me " Jongdae whimpered softly at the touch. "I was coming to tell you that I won't be home tonight but had asked Sehun if he Luhan and Chanyeol could stay over with you and keep you company while I'm gone. " he looked at his cousin and smiled "This is your chance yo get closer to Chanyeol. "
Yes,  Jongdae knows about the accident as well and thought of this plan to get the males together again and help Chanyeol get Baekhyun's memory back. "W-what.. Oh my god I can't do that,  I'll be a mess in front of Chanyeol" he hissed as he continued fixing the  male's order.  Jongdae only laughed as he ruffled the other's hair and walked to the front to look for his lover.

Baekhyun  was wanting to kill Jongdae but went against it and walked out to the front with Chanyeol's order,  sitting it down and smiled "here you go Chanyeol " he whispered shyly before excusing himself.  Chanyeol smiled softly yet sadly watching Baekhyun. "Sehun... Luhan... I want him back... I want him home.. I can't keep living with out him. " he whispered to his friends as he took sips from his latte.  Both males nodded in agreement "we know,  so come with us to Jongdae and Baek's apartment. " they said almost in unison. Chanyeol looked at them and sat his glass down "Ok I will" he agreed before looking out the window.

Chanyeol kept his lips together as silent tears began to fall from his eyes. This was his chance to help Baek remember some of the past,  but will it be enough.
