Ch 1: Julie

Hi I'm julie, I'm just a normal teenage girl doing her best to fit in. I have a boyfriend named Saul and all of his friends, Phil, Johnny, Ernesto, Riccardo, Derek, Brian, and Allen. Their what I like to call my "squadron" hehe. Any way this is the story of how suddenly my life changed in an instant. Even the smallest actions, can lead you in the wrong direction.

I woke up...It was saturday and both my parents were working so they always leave me home alone. Im an only child so I don't have any siblings of my own to play with. So every Saturday I call my boyfriend and his friends over to play board games however we had got bored from playing with the same games over and over again so one of my friends Phil went in search of a game. He searched everywhere but sadly we had all those games already. Then Phil went to a thrift shop and searched around, he had found a game called "Jumanji" just like the movie. So he then he was down to buy the game, when he was in line then cashier asked him "Why would you want this game, the last few people who had this game returned it immediately" all Phil did was smile and say "I seek adventure" Phil then walked out and came home. When we saw the box we were all so ready to play, I quickly opened it. The game looked exactly like it did in the movie and I was super excited. I rolled my dice to make my 1st move. It landed on 4 and 2 so I moved my piece up 6 spaces. Then the weird circle thing in the middle turned on, I was creeper out but I thought that it was a part of the game. It said "Need a hand? Well, you just wait, We'll help you out... we each have eight." I started laughing with the guys but then we heard something from the attic. It was sound of things falling, I went to the kitchen to grab a flashlight and I ran up to the attic with the dudes. I was scared but whatever it was I was about to confront it until, "Bro let me go, I want to see whats in there" I said to Saul who was holding me back. "Your not going in there, I am" said Saul and he told johnny and phil to hold me back. Then Saul opened the door to the attic and slowly started walking, I guess he was scared to cause he started shaking uncontrollably. Then he tuned and we were all huddled behind him. He then went to look around some boxes and he heard something coming from one box. *BOOM* A huge spider appeared out of no where just like in the movie. Then it started crawling towards me. Since it was my move it was going to hurt me, I'm not so good with spiders I tend to get scared easily. Then I remembered that there was a broom in the attic so I looked around until I found it. I grabbed the broom and told my friends to run and get the game and for someone to make a move because when someone makes it to the end of the game, everything that's come out of it goes back in. The group quickly ran down the stairs but Saul stayed. "Get out of here" I said to him "No im not leaving you" he said. "The spider is out to get me because it was my turn, go make your move so we can all end this game faster" Saul didn't listen, instead he took the broom away from me and ran to the spider and started hitting and hitting it until it was done for. "I think the movie is based on the real game" he said. "C'mon let's go downstairs" I said . I grabbed his hand and we ran down the stairs...
