On a cold winters night in the French Quarter, in the flurry of unexpected deaths, a new rookie detective, Alexxis Durban, arrives at the scene of a crime. It was as grotesque as they come when she saw the bodies. A triple homicide is what they were expecting but, what she saw was frightening.
Nothing could compare to what she was seeing. By the entrance of the alleyway and to the left was the body of a decapitated woman. The only visible evidence to identify her body was a small infinity tattoo on her right wrist, and a Chinese Gang symbol on her lower back.
As they were putting her decapitated body in the body bag, they heard a faint sound and whimper from behind the dumpster. Detective Durban went to investigate what the sound was. Much to her surprise, she was forced to walk away by what she saw.
Detective Doug Ramos walked up to Durban and asked, " What do we h..." Cut off in mid sentence by what he saw, he reacted the same way Durban did.
This is about the only way this crime scene could get worse. By the dumpster was a child, no older than 8, completely disfigured and mutilated. The first thing that came across the detective's minds when they made eye contact with each other was, "Human Sacrifice!!" The next question was not only, "for what but, also to whom??"
