When the roaring of the Impala's engine ceased, Starla lifted herself up using the front of the pocket and peeked up at the underside of Sam's chin. "Can I come out yet?" She asked as calmly as she could without sounding too desperate.

"I'm sure it's okay now, yeah," Sam replied, glancing down at the Borrower in his pocket. "Do you need help or can you climb up on your own?" He asked with a smile. It was a good thing that she was comfortable with being touched and held.

"I got this, check this out," Starla said with a wide grin, gripping onto Sam's shirt and began to climb. She was careful not to pinch his skin, as she didn't want to hurt him. Holding onto the fabric, she hoisted her body up as she scaled the human's chest to reach his shoulder. It wasn't hard considering climbing is how she almost always gets around.

The brown-haired male sat as still as he could while the tiny girl climbed his shirt. It was funny to watch. A small smile remained on his lips as he turned to look at Dean who was fumbling with the keys and the to-go boxes. "Need help?" He started to reach over but stopped when Dean shook his head stubbornly, not saying a word. "I'll just take Starla on inside then, see ya when you manage to get out of the car."

Sam undid his seatbelt and stepped out of the Impala, moving as gingerly as he could so he didn't accidentally hurt the Borrower he had quickly tucked back in his pocket. That was certainly the last thing he wanted to do.

"Hurry! I can still smell it, I'm starving!" Starla whisper shouted up to the human, giggling. It was true. She could easily smell the food that Dean was carrying, and it made her mouth water. It'd been so long since she's had a chance to eat real food. Sure, last night she had some, but that was just the beginning of what she missed. Burgers, spaghetti, cakes, cookies. Just the thought of a real meal made her stomach growl hungrily.

While she was a little mad he had just shoved her back in his pocket, she knew he was protecting her. She just needed to be calm.

Sam rolled his eyes silently as he headed into the drafty, run-down motel room. "You're such a dorky kid." He said as he sat down on the edge of one of the beds.

"I'm not a kid!" Starla argued and hoisted herself from the pocket. "And I'm not a dork either so there!"

Sam lowered his hand underneath of the Borrower in case she fell, a small smile crossing his lips. "If you say so. Please be-" Before he could even finish his sentence the tiny girl yelped and fell onto her back in his palm. "Careful. You okay?" He asked with a soft laugh, using his finger on his opposite hand to help her back onto her feet.

"Yep! Nothing is hurt but my pride." Starla looked up at Sam. It was true, she was embarrassed that despite how often she climbs she just fell out of a humans pocket. The more she stared up at the brown-haired male, the smaller she started to feel.

The way she stared at him made Sam feel like he was scaring her, it made him feel freakish. It reminded him just what was in his hand. A life. A tiny being that relied on him and his brother completely. Very cautiously, Sam moved his hand and allowed her to climb onto his shoulder.

Dean now stepped into the room, balancing the styrofoam to-go boxes in his arms. "Alright, breakfast is served." His gruff voice mumbled as he set them on the table with a satisfied sigh.

"Yes! Move Sammy, come on!" Starla reached up, grabbing onto one of Sam's brown locks and giving it a gentle tug. She immediately let go and giggled when his hazel eyes turned to her hosting an amused but annoyed look. It was a little intimidating, but she quickly reminded herself that he'd never hurt her.

"You're just going to let her talk to ya like that Sam?" Dean looked at his younger brother with a smirk, taking a seat in the creaky chair at the table.

"Nah. I'll get my revenge somehow," Sam replied with his own playful smirk, turning his eyes to the Borrower sitting on his right shoulder. "Let's just let her eat first."

The brown-haired Borrower slid from Sam's shoulder, down his chest, and landed on her feet with ease on the wooden surface of the table. "Ha! You wish!" She looked up at both brothers, grinning widely while watching Dean open her to-go box.

The scent of egg and bacon washed over her, and her mouth watered. Her stomach growled loudly. Unable to resist, she sprinted to the box and climbed the styrofoam into it.

Dean rested his chin on his hand, watching the tiny girl he considers a sister digging hungrily into the greasy sandwich. She ripped chunks of egg off and broke pieces of crispy bacon into small enough pieces for her to eat. It was strange. She was so sweet, and then you put in front of her and she turned into a ravenous animal, like the food would disappear if she didn't eat fast.  "So, why do you eat that fast?" He asked, leaning his head in to be able to talk to her better.

Starla used her brown shirt to wipe her mouth, her hands and face greasy from the egg and bacon. "W-Well...I guess I don't realize how fast I eat. I used to have to eat fast so I didn't get caught, it's a habit. I suppose I'm just worried that if I don't eat fast and get my fill I might not get another meal for a long time. I know that you guys are here, but..." She trailed off and lowered her head, ripping another chunk of egg off the sandwich and tried to eat slower, taking small bites.

"You don't have to worry about that." Sam murmured as softly as he could, wanting to reach out and hug her but decided against it. He hated seeing her upset.

"I know. Let's just not talk about it anymore." Starla cleared her throat which was inaudible to the humans and began to nibble on the egg again.

Sam and Dean both looked at each other, each of them sharing the same worried look. They knew that they needed to somehow get her to talk and tell them what exactly was going on. But for now, they would both just let her eat and calm down.
