I remember the day when I first saw her. I walked into the gymnasium and there she sat. Even among the midst of the other kids on the bleachers, she always stood out. Her auburn hair cascading down her shoulders. And those bangs, those wonderfully unique bangs swept across her porcelain forehead, from her cliché scene phase.

She was everything I wasn't at the time. She was loud and bold, whereas I was quiet and reserved. She dyed her hair beautiful shades of maroon. If I listened hard enough over the sounds of the school, I would catch her humming a sweet tune softly to herself.

Often times, I caught myself turning my gaze on her. I didn't know why

I'd not known I would grow to love her, because we were both of the same sex. But nobody can stop me now.
