Your POV You were currently doing your hair and makeup while you waited for your boyfriend Ethan to arrive to take you on a date for your 1 year anniversary. He insisted you dress fancy because he was taking you to a really expensive and fancy restaurant. So being the nice girlfriend you are you got dressed in a black knee length dress with black heels. You are also wearing the silver promise ring Ethan gave you on your 1 month anniversary. You and Ethan weren't the fancy type. In fact fancy to you meant watching Netflix in actual clothes instead of pajamas. You and Ethan were the Netflix, pizza, pajama wearing, ice cream couple. As you finished your makeup you heard a knock on the door. Running down (not really running, I mean you are wearing heels) the steps to reach the door. Once you open it you saw your boyfriend in a black tux with a blue tie.
"Wow.... Y/n you look gorgeous." He said.
"I know right, I decided to ditch the trash bag this time." You both shared a laugh before he escorted you to his car.
The drive was short but that was probably because you were both doing horrible impressions of famous people. Once you walked in the restaurant you were amazed at how beautiful it was.

After you both ordered you were talking about how you first got together. Time skip to after dinner———————
As Ethan was driving you noticed he was going the opposite direction of your house.
"Um...Ethan? You're going the wrong way. Are you gonna murder me?" You asked half jokingly.
"1. I'm not a murderer so no you'll survive the night. 2. Why can't I just take my lovely girlfriend to a surprise place?" He said looking from you to the road a few times before fully focusing on the road. After what felt like years you finally stopped at the ocean.
"Umm...Ethan why are we here?" You asked after you had gotten out of the car and were walking down the side of the ocean.
He chuckled before for replying "This is where we had our first kiss duh." He joked. "I thought this would so be the perfect place to end our night. Also I'm not gonna propose so you can relax."
You did relax more after he said that. "Okay you had me worried for a little bit." You both laughed and he pecked your lips. You spent the rest of the night sharing memories and you laughed a lot.
