Xander, age 17, diligence sector, successful at school, gets along well with everyone as planned. This was his reading that his parents had access to everyday to make he was doing well. But of course, how could he get into any trouble when its full of the same type of people. Of course there were small differences in personality, but all of them had 50% or more of diligence. It's not bad here, but its not that fun either. But with a government like this, how could it be. He has a brief breakfast that's picked for him, then starts heading to school. It's the same walk, same path, same hellos to the same people on his street. He doesn't always mind, but he does occasionally find his mind wandering off the to the dreams of a different, more exciting life.
He eventually noticed the bleak, gray building appearing into his vision. The building, though strong, looks more like a prison then a school. There were no colors on the outside of the building, just a light gray all around, with strong but slightly cracked pillars holding the roof near the front doors.
But as you go inside, it seems that life is added to it, as murals cover the walls and the lockers a dark red color. The floors are made of black tile, and the classrooms are covered on posters and color. Though Xander wishes for differences, this was his favorite building in the entire sector.
He heads into the building and heads straight to his locker. His locker was right next to the mural he helped his group paint. He sighed tiredly and set his book bag down before grabbing his books from his locker and putting them in his back.
"Xander! Hey!" he heard his best friend yell from down the hall. His name was Leon, and he's known him since childhood. Leon as diligent as he was careless, and that's what made him great. He smiled when he finally caught up to him. "Hey, still can't believe you did this mural, like really can't believe it" he said, a teasing grin on his face.
"It's not like I did it on my own you idiot," Xander said, a grin on his face as well, always enjoying the conversation Leon and him had. They both live down the street from each other, and they met while playing on the streets one day. Leon had kicked a ball quite hard that day it collided right into Xander's head. Leon had spent days convinced that he would make it up to him, and they agreed to become friends. That was the best decision Xander made.
"Yeah, that'd be a disaster." Leon said as Xander rolled his eyes and closed his locker. "Now off to class we go!" Leon said and grabbed Xander's sleeve before walking down the hall to class. They talked about anything new that they hadn't discussed already and about what they were dreading today. They finally got to their homeroom class and walked to their seats, which were luckily right next to each other. Few moments later, the teacher walked into the classroom. He was a tall teacher at least 6'4" in height and long brown hair usually tied in a bun, with forest green eyes. He always dressed more casual then the other teachers who usually dressed more formal. The teacher, named Mr. Sparks, did his normal routine of greeting the class. He then pressed a button on his desk and a holographic screen appeared on the wall. He then started the lesson for that day.
