001 (Mike Wheeler Stranger Things FF) *ON HOLD*

Today was the Christmas party in Hawkins. It was a very different day. Christmas eve eve. It was about 4:50 pm so we had about half an hour till we had to leave to get to the party on time. It starts at 5:30 so i'll give a ten minute leeway for before getting to the party. My mom was going to meet us there after work because she had something 'special' to get for tonight. So that means I have to drive Mickey, Suzie, Jane, and Dawn to the party. 

All day today Mike thought it would be fun to create a group chat at 5 in the morning. It's between all of us. So. Mickey, Suzie, Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Will, and Max. All day we've been sending each other memes. Ya know, a normal teenager thing.

Hey, are you changed for the party yet?

To:

The only thing I have left to do is put my party clothes on. Why?

From: Mike :)

Because I wanted to see you :) If that's okay. I mean you don't have to. I just wanted to kind of get a small talk in before I have to spend the rest of the night with everyone else. We'll probably never even talk :(

To:

Oh, okay. I'll try my best to talk to you tonight! But I know everyone being around will make it very difficult for everyone. Meet me on my back porch in 5 min?

I put my dress and heels to the side and grabbed my slippers from near my bed. I put them on and sat at the kitchen table. Everyone is rushing around getting ready so they won't really notice me being gone real quick. I'm almost done anyways so nothings really wrong. I looked out my window and saw him hop the fence. I grabbed my phone and went outside. "Hey" I said. "Hey" He smiled. "How are you?" He added. "I'm okay. You?"

"Better now that I'm seeing you" He flirted. I laughed. "Smooth" I said. He chuckled and looked down nervously, scratching the back of his neck. "You're going to hate me asking this, but the guys want to know if El is going to be there tonight" He said. He looked down and wouldn't make eye contact with me. "She'll be there. Don't worry. I know you guys miss her" I said. "You're not mad that I asked about her?" 

"No. I get it. She's your friend Mike. I'm not an asshole I know you will still talk about her" I laughed. Honestly, I was kind of confused on why the guys asked him to ask me, but what ever. He phone dinged and he looked at it. "Mom said we're leave in 10 minutes. So i'll have to leave soon" He said. "That's cool. I'll see you longer at 5:30 so it'll be okay" I said. He took on of my hands in his and pulled me to the outside couch. He sat down and pulled me down next to him. He wrapped his arm around me and I leaned my head on his shoulder. He made circles in my hand with his thumb. 

"Could we stay like this for a while?" I asked. He chuckled and I felt him kiss the top of my head. "I totally would if I didn't have to leave soon" He said. He pulled me in closer. "Are you going to be okay?" He asked. I looked up at him. "Why?" 

"Because it's the town party. So that means all the rude kids in school will be there. Are you going to be okay?" He looked genuinely concerned. "I'll be fine as long as they leave me alone. How was school yesterday with them? Did they do anything to you?" 

"Just the typical Troy and James shit. Nothing that i'm not use to" I nodded. I laid my head back on his shoulder and he sighed. "What's wrong?" I asked. "I'm just upset that this is probably going to be the last time we talk till tomorrow. I know that at the party you'll be talking with your sisters and probably Max. Then I'll be with the guys and the way that Will is at the moment, I'm probably going to need to check up on him all night" He said. 

"I promise to talk to you before tomorrow. I'm not just going to ignore you at the party" I chuckled, "and if anything, I'll be text you before bed" I said. He smiled and lightly laughed. "Good. I don't want this to be the last time we talk today." He kissed the top of my head again. "Sit next to me tonight" He said. "Okay. I will"

He pulled out his phone and looked at the time. "Oh shit. I have to go. I still have to get dressed in my suit. I'll see you soon" He said rushing to get up. He got up and put his phone in his pocket. I got up after him and went to my door. He turned me around and kissed my cheek "See you soon" He said, then he rushed back home. I went inside and checked the time, 5:10 pm. There's like 10 minutes until I plan to leave. I went back upstairs and put on my dress. I slipped on my heels and looked in my mirror. 

I approve. I fixed my makeup and hair a little and grabbed my purse. I put my keys, phone, and a hair tie in it. I put on one last squirt of perfume and I grabbed some socks and converse. I'll just keep them in my trunk for now so when my feet get tired of the heels I can just slip them on. "Is everyone ready?" I called coming out of my room. It's 5:20 so we'll have to go now to have some traffic time added and to also find a spot. They all came out of their rooms looking beautiful. "You guys are so cute!" I gushed. "Same to you!!" Dawn said. "Awe thanks love. Let's go. It starts in 10 minutes. If I were you, i'd bring some socks and sneakers for after your feet start hurting" I said. They all lifted their hands and had sneakers already there. "Good! Now let's go!"

We all went to the car and started on our drive. It took 5 minutes to get to the school and we found a spot kind of easily. I guess most people come to these parties really late. We grabbed our stuff, but kept our shoes in the trunk, and made our way inside to find Mike and the others.
