Hi everyone, it has been a while hasn't it?

I'm really sorry for posting this up really late. Not only have I been really busy with school (so busy that I barely have time to breathe) but I also went through a little phase of writer's block and I couldn't think of what to write. It's better now and I'm back on track at the moment so it's all good.

I finally have some time today so I'm going to write as much as I can but I'm not sure how much I'll actually get done nor when I'll upload next. I'll try to upload the next chapter as soon as possible though.

Thank you for your patience. I really hope you enjoy the rest of my story.

This chapter has NOT been edited.

The awkward tension was starting to become unbearable. George sat across from me and looked between Daniel and I, and Daniel sat on the side of the table with his body turned towards me as he tapped his fingers on the table. I squirmed in my seat and looked at everyone and everything beside my husband that was murdering me with his gaze.

"I-I didn't know she was married," George stuttered. When he first heard that Daniel was my husband, he looked like he wanted to retort and almost even fight back but after seeing the look on Daniel's face, he just awkwardly leaned back in his seat and let Daniel take control.

"My parents don't know," I quickly said before Daniel could say anything.

I stole a glance at Daniel who was still clueless to everything that was going on. He stopped tapping the moment I said the words "parents" but continued once again seconds later. God knows what he was thinking at the moment.

"That's fine, Vanessa," he said as he quickly stood up from his seat. "I won't tell them."

I threw him an emotionless smile and watched as he ran out of the restaurant.

"Want to explain what is going on, Vanessa?"

I gulped but did not utter a word.

"What is going on, Isabella?" He hissed underneath his breath, loud enough for me to hear but not loud enough to gain the attention of anyone else in the restaurant.

"Just a little favour for a friend," I answered as I stole a glance at him. He didn't look very happy by my answer at all.

"Do you know how I found out you were here?" he asked, his face tinted red with anger. I really wanted to roll my eyes at his overreaction, but I had no idea what his anger looked like and I didn't want to find out right at this moment.

"How?" I asked with a sigh.

"My friend called me and told me that a woman that looks an awful lot like my wife is on a date with another man."

"How does your friend even know what I looked like?" I narrowed my eyes as I turned to face Daniel for the first time that evening.

"That isn't important right now! What if it wasn't my friend but someone from my family? Have you already forgotten the conditions of our contract?"

"I haven't," I said with another sigh, "like I said, I was just granting my friend a favour."

Daniel closed his eyes and rubbed his temples before abruptly standing up.

"We're going home," he said as he held out his hand for me to take. I stood up and before I could reject or accept his hand, he grabbed onto my arm and pulled me out of the restaurant with a slight wave towards the direction of the guy who had been staring at me earlier that evening. I guess that was the friend he was talking about.
