~Part two~
"Jacob, we need more food!" Jacob's mother called. "Will you get some at the market?"
He tied the horse up to it post, narrowing his eyes as he look up into the sky it was going to get dark soon and it was never a good idea to walk in the dark. He walked back to the house and walked in, pushing the rotting door carefully so it wouldn't come off it's hinges.
"I will need some money mother." He said looking into her bright blue eyes.
Her lips pressed together in a thin line before she walk to her room and came back minutes later with a few coins.
Jacob looked down at the coins in his hand and sighed.
"This isn't going to get us much mother."
"Just get what you can and please be back for it's becomes dark." She pleaded. Jacob nodded his head at her and walked out the door.
The walk wasn't far, half a hour at most. When he got to the market there was many people around getting what they could with the little money they had. He walked over to one of the food stalls and smiled.
"Harold!" He said with open arms, "It has been much too long."
"Oh please, you are not someone I wished to see today."
"I missed you too."
"What do you want today, Jacob."
I took a deep breath in and put his hands on the stalls edge.
"I need some bread and cheese, nothing much." He stood back a little and looked him up and down.
"How much gold you got?" I pulled the three gold coins. He looked at his hand, back up to his eyes and pulled out loaf of bread and half a block of cheese.
"Come on, you can do better than that." He said shaking my head.
"No, Jacob, I can't."
"How much would I get for 10 gold coins then?" He raised an eyebrow and put another 3 loaves of bread and another half a block of cheese.
He picked them up, placed the three coins down and put his hand in his pocket. He look up at the chubby and smiled, he turned on his heels and started to run back to the bridge. "Thank you very much, it was lovely to see you again!"
Harold ran after him, but there was no point. Jacob was a very tall, build boy that had enough muscles to beat a beast down, while Harold was an old, chubby man with short legs and was nothing more and the stall keeper.
Jacob looked behind him and laughed at the man trying to catch him. He looked forward only to crash into something.
"Dammit," He cursed while picking up the bread and cheese. He looked up to see what he had crashed into only regretting he had. "Watch where you're going, filthy whore."
He looked behind him only to see the chubby man was coming closer. He looked at the one last time and started off running again.
"The little rat!" Jacob laughed at Harold comment and slowed down so now he was only walking. It was not his fault he had to steal food for his family, even though he did enjoy it, he wished it was so much more easier for him and his family.
He looked up at the sky to see that it was getting darker now. He jumped at the sounded of an explosion. His eyebrows pulled together as he saw a little mushroom cloud appear of thin the far distance. It couldn't have been from his house it was too far.
"They're coming! They're coming back!" A skinny old man ran out form the bush line. Jacob stopped and stared at the man as he ran in circles and screamed.
