My name is Salem Pollen. I'm a freshman and Brand Enrichment Achievement District School. Also known as B.E.A.D.S. Not the best school to go to but is till works. I live with my mom, well most of the time. She goes on business trips a lot. She says that she's trying to get us a better life. What ever that supposed to mean.
My father died when I was 10 years old, so about 5 years ago. I miss him so much. He was a very kind human being. He never let anyone starve when he say them on the streets so I'm sad that he's gone but I know he made a good mark on this world.
My mom and I are going to have dinner tonight and my favorite restaurant. I don't remember the last time we just went out as us girls and ate a restaurant. It must have been a while.
*Later*
"Salem!" "Hey mom! How was your business trip!" My mom had a worried look on her face. " About that. I want you to meet someone."
We drove to the restaurant in a new car that I haven't seen before. It looked brand new, unlike out shabby old civic. "Where I'd you get this car mom?" "You'll find out soon Salem."
This seemed odd because we can barely keep our rent on time.
At that moment I knew what was going to happen. I was going to get a new father. I was ready for anything that was going to come at me when I walked through the doors of a fancy 5 star restaurant that sparkled in the pale moonlight.
