CHAPTER 1 (THE MIRACLE)
I was warned about them, but I thought I would fall in love with one of them. Let's go back to where everything started at.
My mom got married to a very wealthy man before I was born, and we were all happy. When I was ten he was rushed to the hospital for some unknown reason. The doctors didn't know why, but the needle wouldn't go into his arms. They did all that they could, but there wasn't that they could do. He died five days later, and I had to stay strong for my mom. I didn't cry when he died, and I didn't cry when we went to the funeral. I didn't cry at night like most kids would do, because I would sleep with my mom to comfort her. She would cry endlessly every night until she would fall asleep. I would hold all of my pain inside of me everyday. Sometimes I would want to cry, but I would remember what my dad told me when he was in the hospital. he told me "Stay strong, and help your mother. You might be the child, but mommy needs you. I'm not going to stay here long, and I know that. So please take care of mommy for me."
That was the last thing that he said to me while he was alive. I still remember it like it was yesterday. He held my hand while tears flowed out of his eyes. I heard a loud drawn out beep, and the grip that he had on my hand loosened. The nurses rushed into the room yelling and running all over the place. One of them picked me up and carried me out. They sat me down in a orange chair, and talked to me.
