Love is Impatient, Love is Unkind

Not any old setback

I was hoping that it would be easier than this— easier to be able to let go. Some things, are just impossible to get over.
I guess certain things are just more important, bigger than just any old set back. Probably because this was the future you imagined; before everything started to crumble and come apart. It's more than just something you can get over.
Having to try and let go, and forget about all those plans you made together. All the ideas of how you wanted to spend forever with them. It's harder than impossible to just simply be able to let go of all that; all of that future that you had planned— the perfect future. You'll be lost and you'll have no idea how to come up with what you're supposed to do next. Because now you're alone, and have to plan for yourself. For just you, instead of you and them. How can you do that? When all you want is for your life to include that one specific person. How can you plan for just you?
You can't, because you don't want to imagine life without them. But I guess you have to one day or another.
And that's why it's impossible to get over it.
You just simply don't want to.
