Nicole’s POV
After the boys left, I called Katrina over to stay over the night. We had quite a bit to talk about. I looked at the clock, it was 5:30 so I decided to take a shower and change into something more comfortable.
“HONEY IM HOME!” I hear Kat’s voice come from downstairs.
I run up to her and give her a hug “hey babe”
“Hey, haven’t seen you in a while what’s been going on?” she says pulling out of the hug
“Well . . .” I say trailing off not knowing where to start
“that much huh?”
“am I that easy to read?”
“yeah babe, you’re like an open book”
“well come on, we might have to get comfortable. I have quite a story to tell”
We go up into my room and sit on the bed.
“So let me just start off by saying, me and Daniel broke up”
Her eyes widen “What? When? Why?”
“We broke up last night”
“What happened?”
I take a deep breath “he tried to rape me” I put my head in my hands waiting for her reaction. I feel her arms wrap around me “that son of a bitch doesn’t know what he is missing out on”
“yeah you were right, how did you know?” I ask her remembering our conversation at school
“I never liked him honey, I just put on a smile for you. I knew he would try something but not something as big as this. Have you told your mum yet?”
“Oh shit, my mum what am I going to tell her?”
“it’s your choice”
“I’ll figure it out later. And guess what? I saw him today and he was with some slag. The DAY AFTER we broke up, like we never happened.”
“What a disgusting pig, you’d think he’d have some feelings”
“Tell me about it”
“Is that all?”
“You wish. I have a feeling my feelings for Liam aren’t going anywhere anytime soon” I sigh
“Now there’s a couple I’d ship any day”
I raised an eyebrow “so what should I do?”
“tell him”
“That’s a definite no. He doesn’t like me like that. At least I don’t think he does……” does he like me? Noooo he couldn’t
“You never know until you try babe”
“But if he doesn’t like me I’m just gonna make it awkward between us”
“Whatever you say, I was right once I could be right again”
“Enough about me how is your life?” I ask trying to change the subject
“Stop changing the subject” she says, knowing me too well
“I’m not. Why can’t we talk about you for once?”
“We can talk about me later, just tell me ONE more thing”
“Fine……erm” I racked my brain for something to say “OH! Harry’s not telling me something”
“really?” she raises her eyebrow
“Yeah he was texting some girl today and he won’t tell me who it is”
Kat didn’t answer. I look over, she’s looking down at the floor.
“Kat?”
“What?” she says still looking at the floor
“Am I really that unattractive?” I ask
“No” she says looking up, I look in her eyes trying to find out why she was so embarrassed
OH MY GOD
“NO WAY!!!” I say as I come to realisation
“What?” she blushes
“NO WAY NO WAY NO WAY! WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME?” I’m practically jumping with excitement
“Tell you what?” still trying to avoid me
“Harry was texting YOU wasn’t he?” I say with a big smile on my face. She blushes even deeper, still not giving me an answer
“I thought we were best friends” I pout crossing my arms across my chest.
“Fine” But you can’t tell Harry I told you”
“Awwwww why not? Why doesn’t he want me to know?”
“Cause he didn’t want you to make a big deal about it”
“I won’t I promise. So are you guys like going out?”
“erm… yeah I guess”
“awwww
“You guys would make a cute couple”
Katrina was about to reply when I heard my mum come in.
“Nicole?” she shouts up the stairs
“upstairs” I reply
We hear someone coming up the stairs, mum opens the door “hey Nic- oh hi Katrina!” she says seeing Kat lying on the bed, Kat just smiles
“Nicole, Daniel called” my mum says
“What did he say?” I ask through my teeth. The nerve of that boy
“He said he needed to talk to you and that he was sorry?”
“SORRY MY ASS!” Kat practically shouts, she is fuming
My mum looks confused, “we broke up” I reply
“But you two were so good together” she says looking disappointed
“Yeah I thought so too. Until he took advantage of me”
Mum looks shocked “oh ok. I understand. As long as you’re alright” she says giving me a small smile
“Dinner will be ready soon” she says shutting the door
I look over at Kat, she is still fuming “Kat calm down”
“how dare he, how dare he ….” She mutters to herself
“He can’t hurt me over the fucking phone, you need to calm the fuck down” I say putting my hands on her shoulder. She takes a few deep breaths and finally calms down.
“So you and Harry huh?” I say trying to distract her
“yeah he’s awesome” she smiles
They would be such a cute couple.
