WITHOUT HESITATION (A Naruto fanfic) ON HOLD

Chapter 7

Some time has passed from the mission to the land of the waves.

It was Naki's day off. She was dressed in a plain red shirt along with a plain green jacket. Naki was wearing the usual dark blue sandals. She also put on a pair of grey trousers. Her hands weren't bandaged.

She sat on her bed when suddenly someone knocked on the door. The young kunoichi sighed and got up. She was home alone as her parents were out on a date and Choji went somewhere.

Once she opened the door, she was met by two familiar faces. "Ino, Sakura...what brings you two here?" Naki asked sternly. The two girls looked at her with a somewhat troubled expression.

"Well...we wanted to spend our day off nicely, girls only." Sakura stated with a smile. "You know we always spend time with the boys when we're out on missions so we thought it'd be nice to-" The pink head continued before being cut off by Naki.

"I'm busy." She stated and as she started to turn around Ino grabbed her arm. "What?!" Exclaimed the young Akimichi.

"Come on Naki it's your day off how can you be busy?" Ino asked, practically shouting. Naki sighed and crossed her arms .

"Why don't you go get someone else?" The wood-style user asked, annoyed.

"Tenten is training and Hinata is too shy." Sakura stated. "And we've never been in your house or actually talked to you about anything other than missions." She added after a second. Ino nodded in agreement.

Naki pinched the bridge of her nose whilst exhaling deeply. She was meant to meet up with Tenzo in about 2 hours. She didn't have anything to do really. "Fine." She finally gave in.

The two girls squealed in excitement as they literally ran into Naki's house. The Akimichi showed them to her room. Sakura and Ino were looking around frantically as they took in every detail of the jounin's room.

The two suddenly noticed something that caught their attention. It was three photos that were neatly lined up on the Akimichi's bedstand. One was of Team 7, the second one was a family photo of Naki, Choji and their parents. Last but not least was a photo of Naki and Tenzo.

"Oh who's this Naki?" Ino asked with a slight smirk. Naki looked at the photo. On the photo Tenzo had a closed-eye smile as he had his arm around Naki's shoulder. The young kunoichi had a small smile on her face and her arms were crossed.

"Its a friend." She stated with a serious face. Sakura and Ino looked at eachother with a mischievous look on this faces.

"A friend you say...is he only a friend?" Uno asked as she inched closer to Naki. Sakura followed Ino's actions.

"He's just a friend." Naki said, her serious expression not faltering even the slightest. Naki's response didn't seem to please the girls but they knew they couldn't break through the young Akimichi's seriousness.

-Time Skip-

An hour and a half passed, the three girls were just talking about random things. Well it was mainly Ino and Sakura speaking whilst Naki was listening and nodding from time to time. She just answered their questions if they were directed towards her.

They found out that Naki's friend is called Tenzo. Although it was difficult to get that information out of the jounin. Naki stood up. "Ok Ino, Sakura...I've got a meeting in half an hour so it's time to finish this girls meeting." She stated.

"A meeting?! But you've got a day off." Sakura whined. Naki sighed.

"I'm meeting a friend." Naki stated. Ino suddenly came to a realisation. She then whispered something into Sakura's ear and the two smiled mischievously once again.

"So you're meeting Tenzo~" Ino said. Naki's cheeks were tainted with a slight blush, it was almost invisible. The young jounin quickly regained herself and nodded.

"Come on you can't go like that." Sakura stated. "We'll give you a small makeover." She added as she walked up to Naki's closet. She opened it and saw nothing but Naki's normal attire. "Whaa? You don't have a single dress?!" She asked in disbelief.

"I don't need dresses and I don't need a makeover." Naki stated seriously. Ino placed her index finger on her chin, thinking.

"Aha! We'll do your hair then." She exclaimed as she threw her fist in the air.

"Oh no you don't." Naki stated before she was tackled down to the ground by the girls...

-Time Skip-

Naki made her way to meet Tenzo. Her hair was up in a high ponytail. She was annoyed but then she remembered what happened to Sakura and Ino afterwards and smirked.

~Meanwhile with Ino and Sakura~

"It was worth it." Ino stated as her head was being bandaged by a medic. She gave Sakura who was beside her,already bandaged, a fist bump.

"Yes it was...but my head hurts..." the pink head stated...

~Back with Naki~

Tenzo was dressed in a plain white shirt and black trousers.

"Hey Tenzo." She greeted, avoiding his gaze. The Anbu looked at Naki with disbelief as his cheeks turned lightly red.

"Wow...y-you look l-lovely Naki." He stated, scratching the back of his neck whilst looking to the side.

Naki blushed slightly and looked at Tenzo. She smiled. Once Tenzo looked at her once again, she looked to the side whilst pouting. She crossed her arms. "Thanks." She said quietly but once again Tenzo heard her.

The two spent their day off talking and enjoying each others company...
