From the day we met,
I knew you were mine.
Entangled within your net,
Sunk, both hook and line.
You teased me relentlessly,
Taunting was that smile you cast.
I chased you endlessly,
Those years long in the past.
When you finally accepted,
I couldn't believe it.
All the time and effort invested-
I'd finally scored a hit.
But as time proceeded,
Distance only lengthened,
Communication only receded.
I wanted the past returned.
Of course not.
I overheard you talking
To your group of friends.
I thought our love was undying,
But apparently that depends.
I was merely just a plaything,
One you could throw away.
In the end I was only nothing,
A toy which amused you for a day.
You dared.
You dared to cast me aside,
After all the time we spent.
Unfortunately there you reside,
Within my heart which you just rent.
You think you can walk away from me,
As if you never cared.
Look again, and you will see,
This love of mine fully bared.
"I will never be with you."
That's what you said to me,
That's what you believed.
It's okay, I'll let you be-
For now-don't be so relieved.
"How could you do this to me!"
Because you spurned my love;
But you will remember the past.
As I watch you from above,
A smiles appears, at long last.
Why are you so scared?
Why are you in so much fear?
You should know that I cared,
And even now I still do, my dear.
I know it doesn't seem like it,
But I just want the best for you.
I don't want you to fall within that pit,
Full of lies, deceit and untruths too.
It's time.
You have to do what you say,
Keep those promises you made.
I don't wish to make you pay,
But you can't let promises fade.
Looking at your tear stained face,
The anger there, shadowed by fear.
My heart jumps, starting to race,
Even as I wipe away your tears.
The ropes which hold,
Just for now.
The knife so silent and cold,
Upon which I so vow.
"You will be mine."
The cries and screams of pain,
Amidst the soft cuts I make.
You pain will not be in vain,
All these I do for your sake.
The blade glimmers and shines,
As I poise it for the final slash.
Your warm skin against mine,
The lights on the cold steel flash.
As I move to your side,
I take your hand in mine.
I'm not just here for the ride,
I'll even cross that fine line.
I draw the blade again,
The sharp edge beckoning to me.
In my life you were the centre, the main,
Now even in death, together we will be
"Till the end of time."
A/N: Did you seriously read till here? I need to congratulate you xD
Also, the formatting is really screwed, I'm sorry I have no idea how to fix it :l I'll try, but please bear with it for now >< It's all so chunky ugh. Where are the spaces between stanzas.
This is really insanely long. Also, a different feel from the rest of the poems. I do suppose it's sort of a trial. I think this style doesn't exactly work for me, but let me know what you think!
Once again, I congratulate you, honestly. And really, thank you for even reading this far :)
