It's You Again

Chapter Two

Before I knew it, lunch had arrived.

"Hey, hey, hey!", I said in a good mood, walking up to my group of friends, " What's crackin'?"

"Waas aappp?", Juanito said, trying to be cool, which he totally can be at times, while taking a hand out for me to slap and then first bump. I returned the gesture and sat down.

" So what are we talking about? ", I asked, leaning in as if it were something top secret.

" Well,", Linda responded, " we were just talking about what everyone else seems to be talking about. "

"Oh. Don't tell me." , I gasped.

'Yups' filled the table. I smiled.

"What part?", I smirked.

We continued to talk as we all got up from the table to get our lunch. They were serving burgers and Chinese. The burgers, I must say, had a type of bipolar taste to it. It's unexplainable. I ran to the other side of the cafeteria to find a HUGE line. Being the 'good' person I am, I of course, cut in line.

" Hey, Skylar.", Angela came up to me acting as if I were a threat to her.

"Hey.", I smiled innocently.

"What do you think you're doing, cutting in line like that?"

"Can I be here?", I pleaded.

"Yeah", she gave in, " just not in front of me."

"Aight." As I waited, I got bored and just looked around as the people around me were chatting along the line. I finally got my tray ,as the line moved along, selecting the sides they had out. After punching in my student ID, my life flashed before my eyes. Just kidding. I just tripped. "Oof!" But luckily I caught myself and only my milk crashed to the ground along with my rolling apple. I turned to look at the criminal and instantly regretted it. Because, ladies and gentlemen, standing before me was the one and only Jake Taylor. Also known as what you would call your school's 'bad boy'.
