Albert awoke from his midday nap to the buzzing alarm from his phone.
It was three o'clock, time to pick his beloved daughter up from her dance class. He stood up from his place on the couch and bent to the floor to grab his sweatshirt.
Soon enough, he was in his car and headed to the dance place.

When he arrived, he checked his phone to see that he had fifteen minutes before Lily's class was dismissed.

He peered into the first classroom he saw expecting to see his little girl dancing her heart out. Instead, he saw one of the most striking young men he's ever seen. Said young man was wearing black leggings with a loose fitting T-shirt displaying some random band he didn't listen to.

But this man, oh this man, he was gracefully dancing around the room. Doing what Albert could only assume was ballet. His long legs stretched as he leapt into the air. His face had a look of pure concentration. Yet still held so much... emotion.

His dark brown hair was falling in his eyes as the landed from another jump. He must have seen Albert in the window because he made eye contact and smiled brightly at him.
The young man motioned for Albert to come inside by a wave of his hand, his smile still shining bright.

Albert hesitated before slowing opening the heavy door into the dance classroom. He heard soothing classical music playing from a set of speakers in the corner by the mans bag and water bottle.

"Do you want to dance?" The mans voice shocked Albert. He was only about a foot away from him, looking at Albert in curiosity.

"Wh-what?" Albert spoke.

"I said, do you want to dance? It's easy. I'll teach you a waltz." Albert was confused. Why did this stunning man want to dance with him? Who even is this guy?

"I'm Jacob, by the way. I mostly go by Jake." The man, well, Jake, said as he grabbed Alberts hand.

Jake placed Alberts hands on his shoulder and held the other. He repeated this motion with himself.

"Just follow my lead. Feel the beat of the music." Jake whispered. This moment felt incredibly intimate. Jakes voice was intoxicating to Albert.

They danced for a few minutes. Albert getting lost in the feeling of Jakes hands on his body. He ended up with his head leaning on Jake's broad chest. Both men getting lost in the moment.

Albert could have stayed like that forever. He heard faint clapping from outside the room. He reluctantly let go of Jake and turned around to see his Lily's smiling face.

"Hi babygirl! How was practice?" He bent down and embraced her.

"Oh daddy it was amazing. We learned second position! Who was that man you were dancing with?" Lily questioned, looking at Albert in curiosity.

"Oh he was just teaching me how to dance. He's a very good teacher." Albert heard Jake snort from across the room.

He turned to Jake and gave him a smile. He walked over to him and handed the brunette his phone. Jake looked at Albert, questioning him.

"Put your number in. Maybe we could get coffee sometime." Albert smiled.

Jake handed him his phone back with a wave goodbye and turned around again to continue with whatever he was doing.

Albert walked backed over to Lily and grabbed her small hand.

As they were walking out of the room, Lily asked, "Daddy, how good of a dancer was Jake?"

Albert responded, "He's amazing."

Lily looked up at him,"Was he as good as mommy before she died?"
