Imagine a place. A place that all kind of junk collects , from small little souvenirs , to big wooden carvings. A place where nothing has its own place but rather a space of its own
belonging. Where time only exists when wanted and the big things in life are shrunk. Imagine a world with no distraction or restrictions . One where nothing really matters till you make it matter. One with no cares or worries. You have now entered my world. My name is River-Jane Adams. I usually go by River or Ria for short. Everyone at Bradwall calls me Burdock as I always have a can of dandelion and burdock in my hand at any given time. Once I counted the amount of cans I drank in a week and I already had enough to fill my rucksack. I give all my cans to my dad as he makes little trinkets for me out them. Once he made a life size version of me out of wood , old bit of vinyl and of course Burdocks. My hair was some what curled and very orange, and he painted my freckles with wood dye that wouldn't wash off. Then he "borrowed" my old grey jumper and placed on top off the shape of my body and my ripped jeans and red and white trainers. I think it's in the attic somewhere now.
Today is a pretty normal day which means in my head : lesson one - art
lesson two - German
lesson three - religious
lesson four - maths
lesson five - PE
My dad wants me to be an artist and I can draw pretty well. I mean it's not like I can sing or dance or act because I can't hear. I'm completely deaf. No jokes I am just deaf but I wear a hearing aid. Art is my way of unwinding a way to brag to my friends who have no artistic ability at all. The only reason so many people have taken art is there's a new boy from Manchester who's been selected to go our music college and apparently he's drop dead gorgeous. I've never met him because I've been in hospital and that's is half my life.
Apparently he's related to Beyoncé.
Apparently he's broken the world record for highest note ever sang.
Apparently he's modelled in Thailand.
Apparently he's ...
" Hey Burdock is that your actual name."
I stare at my friends.
They all stare at me.
I turn around.
It's him.
