INTRODUCTION

There comes a time in every teenage girl's life when she feels alone. As hard as she tries, or doesn't try, she becomes the classic dramatic teen. This may include slammed doors, tears, yelling, crying, sleeping, crying, brownies, crying, unmade beds, sleeping, crying, and more crying.

For whatever reason they don't feel happy. And they can't. It's almost like they want to be blonde, but are dying their hair brown. It doesn't work.

Note to parents-

If your teenage daughter is crying more than usual, do not freak out. Simply offer to make cookie dough and watch a movie with them.

Most girls combat this condition, what I like to call TEP (teenage emptiness phase) with one of two things;

1. Food. Especially junk food. Feels great to pass the time with delicious crap that you'll regret eating later. Doesn't really do anything to help the emptiness in the heart, which can sometimes be temporarily fixed when eating.

2. Romance. I would not recommend this. You cannot take on a relationship, which will most likely not work out, and leave you more miserable.

Very few girls try an alternative option. I only know one who has successfully resolved her dilemma through imagination. She almost went insane, but she passed the time well enough to figure her life out. She went insane, and stayed sane through books. Her name was Wren.
