Walk In The Woods

Long ago a wager was made between the Gods they would each pick a successor in witch they would give there power to upon choosing the successors would be giving rules in witch they must follow or give up the powers they where given. When all the gods choose there pupil the real wager will begin all that are chosen must fight to earn the others ability. Today we see where the wager begins. "Lucas wake up!" the teacher said in a stern voice "wuh-what!" Lucas said very startled being woken up suddenly the class began to laugh before the teacher calmed them down and got back to teaching. After some time the bell rang causing the swarm of students to take over the hallway. Swiftly making his way through the hallway to where he had been eating for the last couple week Lucas sat down and began to eat. 

Time Skip... Back at his house Lucas told his mother he would be going out for a walk before dinner. "Just don't be out to late dinner will be ready in about an hour" Lucas's mother replied still cutting the vegetables that where going to be in that nights dinner. "Alright mom" Lucas said walking out the door. After a short while of walking Lucas found a ladder. Curious as to where the ladder went Lucas began to climb only noticing after a couple minuets of climbing that this ladder was longer than usual. Now more curious than ever as to what could be at the top of this ladder Lucas began to climb quicker. Looking down Lucas notice how high off the ground he was and began to feel dizzy even though he was still climbing Suddenly he reached the top of the ladder hitting his knee off the piece of wood the ladder was connected to. Lucas gasped letting go of the ladder with one hand slightly losing his grip before quickly grabbing the ladder out of panic. Lucas finally in the place he had been wanting to see since he had started his climb. He took moment to look around before he heard a voice. "Hey you there" the voice said upon looking around for the voice he heard it again "down here" the voice said more sternly than before. Looking down Lucas took a step back "i'm sorry I didn't know where the ladder lead i'll just go home" Lucas said clearly shocked he had met someone at the top of the forever ladder. "It's alright kid i'm just not used to such people finding there way up here" the voice said making a little joke. Now confused Lucas was at a loss for words "well I guess I should explain the rules to you" the voice said again. Still confused not sure exactly what he has gotten himself into he just nods his head and voice begins to speak. "This is the home of the goddess of power and family. Although you had no idea that I was here and where not looking for me I have decided to grant you my power. You will become a demigod hence you will have to follow a few rules" The girl finished saying waiting for a reply. "U-uh what kind of rules" Lucas said still not one hundred percent sure what was going on to witch the girl replied with. "Here are the rules you must follow number 1 you must listen to me and what I have to say but I will also listen to you and what you have to say, number 2 the mark that will appear on your being tomorrow will show witch god has bestowed there abilities upon you, number 3 if another mark bearer uses this word you must stop what your doing and show them the mark on your body. And don't worry this mark will appear only where you would feel most comfortable. The word is.
