Song of the Chapter: Daylily, Movements
Josh carried Eva to their bus before opening the door and placing her on the first step. When she entered, Josh explained everything to Tyler in hushed whispers. Why could no one just mention stuff like this out loud? She saw the two boys' sad eyes as they looked back at her, and all Eva could muster was looking away and rolling her eyes lightly. It was one stupid fight, and Eva hated feeling like everyone thought she was so fragile. Tyler came and hugged the girl in the living area before looking at her in the eyes and studying them. Tyler didn't see the bright eyes he once saw, the eyes from when she sang covers or laughed with the band. "Talk to me, E." That anger was nearly gone, but her reply was snarkier then she meant it to be. "Why should I Ty? No one else does around here." The ukulele player seemed taken back by her answer. "What do you mean?"
"Everyone only talks about me and all the shit I did and didn't do. No one, Dad especially, talks about their issues. He's freaking out from how long this tour is, I can see it. But, he refuses to tell me anything." Eva took a deep breath. "I'm just sick of it." She saw Tyler searching for an answer, but he had nothing. Josh came up behind him. "I know you're tired of hearing this, but he's scared. For you, the band, himself. He's terrified, and he doesn't want to admit it out loud. The only way to solve the problem is talking about it." She knew Josh was right, but she wasn't getting back on that bus tonight. "I'll talk to him in LA, but not tonight Josh. I can't handle it tonight." Her tears were coming back and she wished they'd leave. For once, she wanted to appear strong, but she couldn't stop crying. The two musicians surrounded her and calmed her down. "Okay, in LA it is then." Josh said with a nod. "Let's get you to bed, okay?" Tyler added, guiding Eva like she was a lost dog. "I'm not a kid Ty." He nodded and apologized quickly before following her to a bunk and helping her climb up. "Everything will be okay again, E. I promise." Eva nodded and kissed Tyler's cheek quickly before rolling back into the bunk. "Goodnight, sweetie."
Before Eva closed her eyes, she sent a text to Brendon.
eva to brendon: i'm sorry, but it was all too much at once. no one talks to me, just about me. i love you, goodnight
She didn't wait for an answer.

The buses rolled up behind a tall brick building, soon to be surrounded by thousands of people. Eva woke up, startled by not being in her own bus, before remembering last night. She heard Tyler and Josh talking and joking. When Eva looked at her phone, her heart sank a bit that there was no reply to her message. But, her disappointment was interrupted when a new voice entered the bus and ran through the hall, pushing the curtain to her bed open and pulling Eva out. "I love you so much, E." Brendon whispered into her hair while holding her up. The girl smiled and nuzzled into his neck. "Let's talk." They sat down and just talked, about everything. It made the pressure fall from both their shoulders when they stood up and walked out into the lot. Stood in front of them were the people Brendon and Eva were dying to see all tour.
"Theo!" Eva screamed, running forward and jumping into the scrawny boy's arms. He smiled and pulled her into him even tighter. The noticeable weight difference scared him, but this wasn't the time to mention it. "I missed you so much, babe." he said quietly into the mess of blue.
Brendon, in a more calm way then Eva, shouted to Sarah from across the lot and ran to her, pulling her up into his chest and spinning around happily. "This has been a hell of a tour without you, Sarah." the tall man said as they pressed their foreheads together. "I know Bren, but you've nearly made it. Both of you." He nodded and smiled. "God I missed you." The two chuckled and stood there together for a few more minutes.
Within an hour, Eva sat in Theo's lap, the two in a circle with Spencer, Alex, Jane, and Sam, talking about tour. "It's crazy, people come from all over with all these stories that are just incredible." Jane laughed and responded "It's crazy that my friend is a touring bassist." Eva rolled her eyes and laughed along. Alex added in "It's been lonely without you E." Everyone nodded and looked up to the girl. "I'm almost back guys. One more month." Theo exhaled deeply, and Eva felt it. She turned to him and whispered in his ear, "I promise, we're going to make it." The boy smiled and hugged her carefully. "I love you Eva Urie."
"And I love you Theo." Their lips connected and everyone in the room groaned aggressively. "Hey, we've been away from each other for two months and missed our gross stage. Let us be," Theo shouted, pretending to be angry but grinning all the way through. Brendon walked in not much later, grabbing Eva to get ready for the show. She said goodbye to her friends until after the show and kissed Theo one last time before walking out of backstage and towards the wings of the stage, strapping the navy bass around her frame and breathing out. The final show in the US of her first tour, and Eva couldn't have been more excited.
