The first day of school was cool, but weird. When we started in our first class, I had a teacher that was pretty nice. His Name was Mr. Adams. He didn't yell, or be mean like my Japanese teachers. They would yell at me and sometimes, beat me on my wrist. Mr. Adams taught me more English. I know how to respond in more questions now. And now, Mr. Adams doesn't treat me like a mental health person that needs extra help. He treats me the way he treats everyone. With kindness. That's what I like about him. He's kind. At lunch, I sat alone. Nobody sat with me. Not even Hojean! He just sat with Regina. And I heard Regina bragging that Hojean was her boyfriend. (Lies) some kids were staring at me because I was sitting alone. Then out of no-where,
"Hi! May I sit here?" Said a voice.
I looked up from my book. The book was called 'Wonder'. Anyway, I looked up from my book. I saw Alex. He was standing there.
"Sure." I said.
"So you do know English?" He asked.
"I know a little bit." I said.
"You don't have to be scared.. in really nice." He said.
"I'm not." I said back.
Alex was the kind of people who always thought of others. I looked at his shirt. It said WE DAY on it.
"What's WE DAY ?" I asked.
"It's a concert that's people go to." He said.
"Oh." I said back.
"Uhh, sorry to interrupt," said another voice. "But may I sit here?" It sounded like Martha.
I looked up. Yep, it was Martha.
"Yeah go ahead." Said Alex. "Tükœ, is it ok if she sits here?" Asked Alex.
"Yeah, I don't mind." I said back.
I got to know Alex and Martha a little bit better then I did before. I thought Alex would be like Regina, but Alex is a soft as a lamb. Martha does run from somethings.
"Really??" I said.
"Yeah, I know," Martha said. "Shocking."
Martha said she runs from Regina when she's not in her right state of mind.
"I was friends with Regina once." Said Martha. "She told me she could make my life better and make me popular."
"Did she?" I asked.
"Do I have a bunch of girls and hot jocks surrounding me?" Asked Martha.
"No." I said and so did Alex.
"Then No. Regina makes everything about herself. She always steals the spotlight and never let's me show off my clothes or my makeup." Martha said sadly.
"So, are we friends?" I asked.
"Yeah!" Said Alex.
"Of course." Said Martha.
I felt a smile creeping across my face. Not a creepy one, though. A happy one. Because I had just realized that I have friends at this school that actually like me.
