  The year was 1972.

Melissa had just got home from a long and rather tiring day of work, and was taking her usual route home. This included walking past a river, passing by a supposed haunted house, and most importantly, walking through a dark alley.

Melissa didn't mind walking through this alley; after all, she had walked through it everyday after work and came out completely fine. But that one day, she just happened to be very unlucky.

As she stepped through the alley, her shoes tapped the ground gently, creating a 'click' sound that echoed and bounced off the walls. Suddenly, an ear-piercing female scream rattled the bricks that were loosely glued together making up a wall next to her. Melissa, being the caring girl that she was, went over to inspect what had happened.

There it was, right in front of her eyes. A dead girl, laying down on the ground, blood seeping through her clothes. Letting out a gasp, Melissa stepped back, but ended up tripping on a rock, causing her to fall down on her knees. Soon, loud footsteps were heard, grunts and shouts pierced the air, and suddenly, all Melissa saw was black.
