I hated him at first

(Chapter 1) An Idol in our class

I heard thunderstorms and saw flashes of light so I decided to go to the window. I looked out the window. The sky was tar-black and the large clouds were moving towards me. I heard water droplets tapping on the window and it became a pit-patter. People were all running for cover outside and umbrellas were opened as the clouds spat out their beads of water.

I decided to continue sweeping the floor and leave in a few minutes before the rain gets heavy. I decided to listen to some song from my phone. I played IKON " Love Scenario" and started singing with the music. As I was singing, a guy suddenly came into the classroom. I quickly stopped singing and stop my music as I was embarassed.

I asked him," Who are you? And why didn't you knock the door before coming in this is a simple manner don't you know."( I asked him in a angry tone)

He said," I did knock the door it was you singing loudly. I came in because I saw the lights were on."

I gave up talking to him and pack my stuff and leave the classroom. He asked me," Do you have an umbrella?"

I said to him," I have one for myself only. I'm leaving." I then walk briskly out of the classroom toward the school gate. I opened my umbrella and walked quickly. While I was walking under the rain with my umbrella open, a guy shouted at me, " HEY! Do you mind sharing with me your umbrella the rain is really heavy." I then walk back passing him my umbrella and ran off.

While I walk under the rain, he shouted at me saying thank you and will return my umbrella tomorrow. He added and said to get home safe and don't fall sick.

The next day when I report to the classroom, the minute I sit down, my home-room teacher came in and inform us that there will be a student joining us. After a few minutes, the student came in.

When he came in, he got a cap on and a mask on his mouth. His tall, handsome, even tough I can only see eyes, but his ears caught my attention, he got 2 piercings on his left ear.

When he took off his cap and mask, I looked into his face, isn't he the guy who had a rude manner and lend my umbrella. I mumbled to myself that. I was totally shocked as I didn't expect him becoming a part of our class or even my classmate.

Girls behind me were totally shouting and went crazy. Eun Ae shouted," MINGYU?! MINGYU! MINGYU! MINGYU! SEVENTEEN!!" I mumbled to myself, " MINGYU??!!SEVENTEEN??!!! I'm sure I've heard about this name before and the group name, is he a celebrity."

He then introduced himself to the class, " Annyeong! I'm Kim Mingyu. Please take care of me well ."

My home-room teacher asked him," Mingyu, where do you want to sit." Girls behind me was NALEUL! NALEUL! NALEUL! He was looking around the classroom thinking where to sit where he finally choose a place.

He told my home-room teacher that he wants to sit with me. I was shaking my head and saying no to my home-room teacher and giving out my unwillingness to sit with him but in the end, he walked towards me and drag the chair and sat down.

After my home-room teacher left the classroom, I told him, " I'm sorry to say this but... I do not want to sit with you, can you please change to other places." He said, " But.... I want to sit with you can't I." I answered him," Okay then. You can sit with me but we will split our tables is that alright." I then push his tables and distance myself and him. He took out his books for the lesson.

As Mr Shin is not here, a relieve teacher came . We had to do our self-study as our final exams are in 8 more months. When I was doing my work, I felt his table was moving towards me. I looked at him and whispered to him, " Why are you moving your table." He said," What are you talking I can't here you."

I then wrote on a piece of paper and said," HEY!! Didn't you promise me not to sit together and split our tables." He wrote on the piece of paper saying," I did not promise you that." he smiled at me while passing the letter.

I then went up to Mr Shin and told him that I would want to change my place with Eun Ae. He said ," Okay sure!" I then pack my stuff and took my books and went to the back and told Eun Ae that I'm changing places with her. She was so happy when she heard that , she even wanted to hug me. I sat down and Hyun Shin asked me why did I change my places.

I told Hyun Shin that Mingyu was annoying and I couldn't concentrate much.

The bell rang...... It's physical education. I took my attire and went to the toilet with Eun Ae. When we were changing in the cubicles, we heard the girls from our class saying that Mingyu and Hyun Shin were fighting.

When I heard that, I quickly get change into my PE attire and told Eun Ae that I'm leaving first. I quickly ran back to the classroom when I walked into the classroom, they were pushing each other towards the wall. I went up to them and stop the fight before thing get worse.
