"Hello? "
Melissa jumped back, startled. She faced the source of the voice, and saw a girl about her age.
She had long, shiny, black hair, deep brown eyes, and a pale skin tone. Melissa thought she looked familiar.
"Hi, my name's Violet. Who may you be? "
"Oh I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Melissa. Do you know where we are? "
"Um, I think-"
"Hello girls, " a voice interrupted Violet. "Welcome to the afterlife."
"Who are you? " Melissa asked, trying to look for where the voice was coming from.
"You don't need to know. Anyways, this is the afterlife. You and Violet have been killed by the same person. You two need to find out who did. If you don't catch the killer, you will go straight to hell. If you do, you'll get a second chance at living. However, you only have a week to find the killer. Thanks, and goodbye!"
Before Melissa could talk to the mysterious voice, a buzz was heard, and the voice was disconnected.
"What do we do now? "
