We're going to die.

Actually, I'm sh*tting my pants.

I was currently in a car with Noah driving at the speed of light. Not to mention there were two cars behind us and I'm pretty sure they had guns.

"What is happening?" I turned towards Noah. His iron grip on the steering wheel got impossibly tighter. He didn't say anything just kept glancing from the road to the rearview mirror. "Noah," I waited for a response.

"NOAH!" I screamed, he didn't even flinch. Not a muscle moved.

"If you keep yapping in my ear they're going to catch up," He barked, eyebrows furrowed in concentration.

"I want to know what is going on and I want to know NOW!" I ordered crisply.

"Well princess we're currently being chased by a few of my old friends."

"What do you mean old friends?" I asked incredulously. My eyes were wide and demanding, I'm sure. I probably looked like a crazy person.

My hair was already back to its normal waves and unbearably frizzy. My make up was smudged and there were streaks of foundation missing from sweat. Overall I probably looked like something out of a poorly budgeted horror movie that you can find on Netflix. Its probably called Shriek 2 and was made in 2005.

Damn, and my eyeshadow looked good too!

"They don't particularly like me or your brother anymore," he said in a dull voice.

"What do you mean they don't like you and my brother?" I prodded.

"Cant you see I'm trying to focus," He snapped.

I took a moment to look at him. He was gorgeous in every sense of the word. Midnight black with a contrast of cold crystal eyes. His jawline was sharp with a platter of freckles. He had unfairly long eyelashes, that touched his high cheekbones when he blinked. HIs Adam's apple was bobbing showing that he was nervous. He was good at hiding his emotions, but if you spend enough time analyzing him you start to pick up the way he ticks.

D*mn and now I sound like a stalker.

I looked back to the road.

There was nothing around us, farther down the road was a set of bushes I could barely make out a turn behind them. I glanced at Noah to see if he noticed, he, of course, was looking back at the people following us. I glanced back too, the cars were far enough back that if we took this turn they wouldn't be able to tell.

"Turn," I stated abruptly.

"What?" Noah exclaimed glancing at me.

The turn was getting close.

"Noah you're going to need to turn up here," I said pointing at the bushes, but noah wasnt looking.

If we didn't turn now we would miss our opportunity.

God, he's an idiot.

I grabbed the wheel and yanked it.

We made the turn but we also hit a tree after spinning out.

"God, I can't believe you, Lilly!" Noah threw his arms up in frustration.

"We got away didn't we?"

He groaned and ran a hand through his hair, "That's not the point! I had it covered," he seethed.

"Oh, so you call being on the edge of death covered," I bellowed.

"Someone could've been hurt," we were nose to nose. His ragged breaths fanned across my face.

What I finally realized was that Noah wasn't angry, he was concerned. "But no one got hurt," I whispered gently, putting my hand on his shoulder, "No one got hurt."

We looked at each other our lips were a breath away from touching.

Noah cleared his throat, "We should start walking, see if we can find a gas station or something, " he backed away.

"Yeah yeah," I nodded out of my daze.

God, we've been walking forever.

And there's no cell service.

"Do you like blue cheese?" I asked.

"No, and that doesn't count," out of boredom me and Noah decided to start a question game, like twenty questions but much longer.

"It does too," I pouted like a toddler.

"Fine you get one freebie," Noah wagged his finger in my face, "Do you get nightmares?"

Many gruesome images flashed behind my eyelids, "no."

"Lil-" Noah began looking at me eyebrows furrowed.

"Look a building!" I screamed jumping up and down.

We both began sprinting towards the small diner.

When we opened the door a small bell chimed.
We took a seat in a corner booth. An old lady walked up to us, she was wearing an apron

"Now how may I help the young couple on such a nice night?"

"Oh we're not-" I started.

"Do you have a phone we could use?" Noah asked politely.

"Yes, I'll be right back."

"Here a phone and two chocolate milkshakes," she smiled kindly down at us before walking away.

Noah grabbed the phone and dialed a number while I sipped my milkshake, "Ok... can you track the phone," he methodically drummed his fingers against the table," I'm on a landline our cell phones aren't working," he closed his eyes and sighed, "Ok... try and get here as soon as possible...yeah she's with me, love you too Adeline," he sighed, "they won't be here for a few hours.," Noah took a big gulp of his milkshake.

That's how our night went. Chocolate milked shakes and silly questions. Noah wasn't so bad.

OMG! Thank you so much, I never thought that this would happen.

So I'm going to update soon but my weekend has been surprisingly busy.

What do you think is going to happen next?

...I actually want to know where you think this book is going.

Do you enjoy this book?

Is there anything you want me to change or add?

So also I've seen some authors have like character aesthetics. I know I'm not a big enough author to expect anyone to make me some but if you are interested and wouldn't mind making me some that would be amazing.

10K is so cool! OMG, I can't believe it.

Once again thank you!
