Beginning of the New Rebellion

"What? What do you mean the New Republic is gone?" Sabine asked, now worried for her family. "Have you heard of the First Order?" Leia asked them, "Yeah, it's the remnants of the Empire, so what?" Ezra answered, "Well it looks like the First Order had been preparing, so they had built a version of the Death Star, which would harness the power of a star, and then use it to blow up multiple planets at once." Leia explained to Ezra and Sabine. "So let me quess, they used that amped up Death Star to blow up the government of the New Republic." Ezra said, and Leia quietly nodded, "So what does this have to do with us?" Sabine asked after a few seconds of silence. "We need your help to destroy the Death star 3." Before Sabine could answer, Ezra responded to Leia, "I'l help, Sabine stays here." Sabine instantly asked, "Why am i staying home? I'm coming with you if you are goi..." "No, Sabine, if i die, then at least Jane will have a mother, but if we both go and die, then she will not have any parents. I don't want Jane to go thru what i have been thru."

They got into the ship everyone got ready to take off. "Mom, where is dad going?" Jane asked, curious for what was going on, "Jane Bridger, what are you doing here, we told you to go the bunker!" Sabine yelled, walking towards Jane. Jane knew she was in trouble, they only called her by her first and last name together if she was in trouble. "Sorry mom, you took your weapons and told me to go to the bunker, but i didn't hear any shots so I wanted to know what was going on." Jane apologized, but she was still curious so she repeated her first question. Sabine just said, "Your dad is going to help some friends of ours." Sabine thought for a bit, and said to Jane with a heavy sigh, "Jane... there is a chance that dad wont come back. I just want you to be ready if he doesn't come."

ON THE RESISTANCE COMMAND SHIP, 5 HOURS LATER

"So, what is my job?" Ezra asked as they were planing the attack on the Starkiller base. "Ezra, you will go with Rey, Han, and Chewie. In case you encounter Kylo Ren, you are the one who can protect them." Leia said "Who's Rey?" Ezra asked, as he nor Sabine really kept up with what was going on with the rebellion. "Rey, is a force sensitive who we picked up from Jakku. She got captured and is currently a captive on the Starkiller base." "Ok. As a precaution, what is their mission?" Ezra asked, if he was going to do this, he needed to know what to do incase the other people died. "Their mission is to take down the bases shields, so our remaining bombers and fighters could attack its weak spot, and destroy it." Leia said. "Okay. Also, when will this attack take place?" Ezra asked, "It will take place in 2 days, more than enough time for you to go back home to get your gear." Leia responded, knowing why he was asking it.
