rising within every page

i stuck my phone
and the novel
in front of my face
you might think
that this is a disease
that i have been infected
that some witch's brew
cursed me till my end
but alas, it is not what you think
lately i have come to realize
that i adore books
the library is a sanctuary
barnes and noble
is practically heaven
and this book that
is besides me
as i write this
seems to
connect to me
as if we were playing
connect the dots
