Amelia's POV

All I could do was to take what was being dealt to me. I knew that my sisters were still out there, fighting for our kingdom's freedom from this cynical man's clutches. It didn't matter that the whole kingdom had shunned us after our mother's mysterious death, we had to protect the moon goddess's people. It was the fate that was bestowed upon us, when my sisters and I saved the life of her Earth body. In exchange she gave is powers beyond a wolf's wildest dreams, however her one request was that we protect her people the way we protected her. We had no problem with this, but I had been hoping that it would never come to where I was now.

I could feel the silver piercing my skin, making my teeth clench as the burning sensation flowed through my veins. It was only temporary since my healing powers made me virtually immune to anything thrown my way. I could still feel the pain though, but he didn't need to know how little his torture was hurting me. It was arguably the better power of my siblings...however who had the better powers wasn't something we liked to think about. I was pulled out of my thoughts as his grating voice came across my slightly ringing ears.

"WHY WON'T YOU SCREAM! THIS ISN'T FUN IF YOU AREN'T WRITHING IN PAIN!" He screeched, trying to get some form of reaction from me.

He would never get one though. I barely even said a word to my sisters with my physical voice, let alone a man who was trying to torture me out of sheer want or power. His name was Zander, and he had declared himself king when the prince's mate passed away, leaving him vulnerable. Prince Zayn was a just man, and everyone loved him. The same couldn't be said about Zander. He plunged yet another silver dagger into my skin, making I believe the fifth one to land its way into my body.

"Your defiance is honorable Miss Mayweather. I have seen men three times the size of your pathetic, little body a sobbing mess on the floor at this point. Yet you haven't even flinched. We need to make things more interesting since the kingdom is catching on to this little rebellion that you and your sisters have started against me. You know you would have made a beautiful mate for someone, though it's a shame I'm going to have to publicly kill you in front of the whole kingdom."

My breath caught in my throat at his words. I knew that when I was captured, there was a possibility that I was going to die. I didn't think it was going be like this though. Zander's eyes blazed brighter when he heard the slight catch, a wicked smile dancing on his lips.

"I can't wait to hear you scream for mercy as the gallows slip from underneath of you, nor can I wait to see the light vanish from your eyes." He cackled, enjoying my moment of fear, "Your hanging is in two days my dear...if the silver doesn't kill you first."

As he left out the door, I let a single tear slide slowly down my cheek. This was going to be the end. Not even my advanced healing capabilities could save from death. My healing powers were only that strong when healing others. For the first time since meeting the moon goddess, I was genuinely scared of what may become of me. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to send a message to my sisters, but I was going to have to try if I wanted live after these next two days. The only issue was that Zander left the silver daggers still in, with me having no way to remove them.

"Zoey? Analeigh?" I tried through the mind link, already panting in exertion.

"Amelia! Are you okay? What's happening?" My sisters linked back anxiously.

"I don't...have much time. I'm scheduled...hanged... two days. G...main kingdom, get help..." The world around me was starting to get fuzzy as I awaited my sister's responses.

"Don't worry Amelia, we will save you no matter what." Zoey's soft voice whispered softly, while I could hear Analeigh gathering her weapons in the background.

"I love..." was all I could reply in return before the pain became too much and I passed out.

Zoey's POV

Analeigh ran around quickly gathering the things we would need in order to gain an audience with the king. It could get ugly rather quickly, so if force was needed than Analeigh wouldn't be afraid to use it. Worry riddled my body as I thought of what my sister was going through. She was a peaceful being, only using the power of healing that the moon goddess had blessed her with. She had many more powers than that, considering that she was the main reason the moon goddess was still able to use her Earth form. That could be why she was graced with the power of healing to begin with.

"Zoe I'm ready. I know that the king's castle is bewitched, so you will only be able to the outer gate. We can't transport into the chamber of the princes though. Luck is on our side though, they should all be there for the summit. Once we are in, we run. I'll deflect the guards, but we will have to be quick." Ana says, tightening her sword belt so that it rested comfortably on her hip.

"What if there are more guards than we can take?" I mumble, taking a deep breath as I approached my youngest sister.

"I want you to run Zoe. Keep running until you stand before Prince Louis, the future king of wolves." Her voice held no room for objection, so I just sent her a grim smile.

I grabbed a few of Amelia's smoke bombs to stuff in the pocket of my coat. They weren't harmful...seeing that it would go against everything she stood for. They were in case I needed to run without being seen. Which knowing the place we are showing up too unannounced, I will probably be running for my life.

"Let's go. The more we waste time, the closer Amelia is to dying." I mumbled softly before grabbing my sister's hand. In a split second, we were greeted with the sight of the castle guards bewildered looks.

"Shit Zoe. You really outdid yourself this time." Ana laughed as she drew her sword for battle.

"Well, I didn't mean to transport us inside the castle doors!!"

"STATE YOUR NAME AND BUSINESS." A gruff voice called from in front of us, as the guards circled us.

"You know it isn't polite to treat ladies of such caliber as such. We only came to talk to the princes. Our business has nothing to do with you miscreants." Ana cackled, as her sword glowed a vibrant blue.

If Amelia was here we wouldn't be having this problem. Wolves seem to just naturally respect her presence. Perhaps it is the close link that she has with the moon goddess, seeing as she can directly speak to her. While her body was blessed, Ana and I simply have objects blessed by her. I could distinctly hear yelling around me, which means Ana has probably angered the guards even further.

"Zoe remember what I said? On my words I want you to run straight to Prince Louis," My sisters voice in our mind link cut through my inner monologue.

"Yes, Ana. I know what you are capable of...but do be careful..." I linked back, preparing myself for the run of my life.

"Dlya moyey bitvy - pochetnyy sposob sluzhit'." Ana said, her blade now a sizzling sapphire and her voice carrying a certain rasp to it.

With her words of an honorable battle ringing in the air, I felt the humming thread that would lead me to the throne room and took off. She could handle herself. I just had to make sure that I could make it before it was too late for Amelia...
