“HELP ME! MY LORD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?”

I heard the screams of people around me. I was tied up. A piece of cloth was wrapped around my mouth. The place around me was burning. It was as if I was in the surface of the sun. No. Hotter than that. I felt the pain but I didn’t die. I was suffering in a place where people would never want to be in- Hell. My neck was tied with a metal ring with metal thorns pointing against my neck. Blood was dripping from it. But, it never ran out. My body was tied up together with my arms. The pain was felt throughout my body. I couldn’t do a thing, this was my punishment.

In front of me, I could see a person, lying down on a concrete-like bed with his arms and legs outstretched. He looked like a star. His hands and feet were chained up so he could not move. I looked at him, helplessly as I could not help him. I knew. I was next to him. For I was next in line. At my back, there, people were lining up, also tied up. The demons around us would whip us with a thorned vine if we would complain. So I just shut up and watched the horror. I knew that no matter what I would do, my God abandoned me.

The person in front of me was panting. He was sweating hard. A demon, black in color, wings as wide as the eye can see, a red, bloody cornea with horns and claws, was ready to gouge out the person’s eyes. He positioned his hands, having pointed claws on the eyes of the person. Slowly, the demon took out the ball from its socket. Blood burst out. All I could see was the empty place where the eyeball was once placed.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! GOD, NO!!!” the person screamed on top of his voice. But his eye was no more.

The demon devoured the eye in front of its owner. He ate it very slowly to gross out the person. As he devoured the eye, he looked at the one in front of him. Sitting on his thrown, in the middle of the castle of hell, there he sat- the devil himself- Satan.

“Master, what more shall I do to this lowly human?” the demon laughed. “Have I pleased you, yet?”

The devil laughed.

“Do Whatever you want! Then, BURN HIM! THROW HIM TO THE DEPTH OF FLAMES!”

The demon had his claws rip the stomach of the person. The flesh tore apart and hues of red was seen all over the concrete bed. He took out his innards and threw it aside. He grabbed the heart and crushed it. The person screamed and cried for help. But, no one dared to reply.

Then, demon  untied the person from the bed and carried him.

“No! Please, spare me!” the human shouted.

The demon laughed. He carried him and threw him into the urn. The person’ flesh burned but it did not disappear. It started to melt but it didn’t completely did. The person’s soul suffered. He shouted in pure despair.

“Oh, God. Why have thou forsaken me?” he screamed, burning.

When he looked above, he saw a light. It was the brightest light he has ever seen. There, beside the light, was a person. St. Peter. The saint looked at the person- sad and depressed.

“God?” the person asked.

The light replied to the question of the person below him.

“Child, never have I abandoned you. I have loved you and I would never do anything to hurt you. But you chose the wrong path. If you only helped the man that needed your aid. If only you cared for your sickly mother instead of leaving her there to rot. If only you were a good steward to the world I gave you instead of sinning and hurting the people around you. If only you accepted my invitation in becoming my child, you might not have suffered this.”

“God, can’t you save me now?”

“No, I cannot. Your chance of becoming one who deserved my Kingdom has long passed. you had your chance. This is your punishment.”

“But I regret it!”

“It is too late.”

As I looked at the conversation of my Lord and my fellowmen, I knew that my time as long passed as well. I no longer deserve the heaven of the Almighty. I have turned my back in him. And I regret it. Now, I am next to be tortured for all eternity.

As I stepped forward, next to be burned and next to be tortured, I closed my eyes and had a deep breath. Then, I told myself:

“My soul is dead. My pride has been shattered. My reputation is gone. And, My life that was supposedly for my God Almighty is No More.
