***Chapter one***
It was the 14th of February, also know as Valentine's Day. What's so special about Valentine's day, you may ask? It's the day that love is celebrated everywhere, where two people can be as mushy as they want and not be judged. It's a wonderful day filled with sweet things like chocolate, flowers and secret admirers.
It makes me sick.
Honestly I couldn't think of anything worse than a day made so people could be stalkerish with their "secret love" letters. It was nothing more than a crush but everyone seemed to think it was... "love". Pathetic really but oh well. I can't exactly change it, now can I? Nope.
Anyway, on to what I'm tring to say. My teacher, Mrs Scarlet who has red hair, ironic, right? Mrs Scarlet decided that we all had to send a email to another classmate about our feelings on Love and Valentine's Day and discuss it for this lesson. I didn't really want to discuss how amazing love was with some cliche barbie wannabe in my class so I was hoping for a guy... without feelings.
Maybe I could find someone to discuss my hatred of the lame emotion with, I thought with a smile.
"Cammie," Miss called out. I glanced up at her, she was so happy all the time, it bugged me. I stood up and walked to the front of the class to get a piece of rolled up paper from a bowl. I went and sat back down and unravelled it as other people were called up to get theirs. I looked at the e-mail address I had got. I almost snorted with laughter. 'imhotyourenot@*******.co.uk' I raised my eyebrow at it, I have a feeling it's the other way around. I'm not saying I'm really hot or anything but compared to some of the barbie wannabes in this school who think they're all "it" I'm pretty good looking.
"Okay everyone, begin writing your letters and make sure the sound is off so no one knows who they're emailing," Miss started. "Also don't look at other people's monitors, this has to be a mystery!" She continued excited. She sounded more excited than us to be honest.
I started typing up my email and went into a bit of a rant about how stupid it was was but kept it to a minimum of one hundred-ish words. I waited until Mrs Scarlet talked again.
"Okay is everyone done?" She asked with a smile and the half who were emailing first replied half heartedly with yes'. Most of the girls perked up and probably hoped they had the email of a guy or preferably one guy. I'm not going to go into a rant of how much of a jerk he is but his name is Chase Daniels, he's good looking, everyone likes him, yada, yada, yada.
"Okay... send!"
I clicked on the little send button, having already typed in the email address for him. I read over my little rant as I waited for a response.
***A/N: Just wanted to say I don't always have the same views as my character as let's admit it, she's a bit of a Debby Downer so... yeah. I'm not a huge pessimist like her, rather an optimist and I love romance stories!***
